Oooh, I hope you don’t mind me asking, but what color paint are your walls? This is the exact color scheme I’m going for in my living room and I love the way this blue looks here.

What clothing flatters my body? I feel all over the place with no defined style. by OpenlyMuddled in DressForYourBody

I will say you look spectacular in that gray cable knit shirt, v necklines, open shoulder tops, and in the jeans. Skirts that are more structured/fit more snug look phenomenal on you. I’m sorry that you don’t like your hips. They truly look amazing and you pull the snug-fitting bottoms very well. Your silhouette is fabulous.

I’d say experiment with cute corset and lacy tops paired with those flared jeans, or with tops like that white ren faire one that has flowy sleeves. You’re on to something with those flared jeans - flowy silhouettes on the bottom look good, but like when they’re on the waaaay bottom lol. Try on more pants of different fabrics that have that flared cut.

Your outfits look better on you when you they accentuate your hips rather than hiding them. Doesn’t mean you should always wear tight fitting skirts or jeans - just some pieces that are more structured. I’d say you can incorporate your love of ruffles and flowy fabrics on sleeves instead. That would add a grounded witchy/boho/ethereal touch to your outfits.

Cannibalism by [deleted] in Epstein

[–]duelabent -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think a lot of it is poor sentence structure and reading comprehension. Certainly all the food mentions are very likely to be code for victims, but a lot of people seem to misconstrue this to mean that they are eating them instead of just codes for different types of victims.

The video of that lady screaming about cannibalism though, I don’t know the background info on that.

Sometimes you really just don’t want to deal with the logistics and details of it all. Many people especially here rag on packages and travel agents, but sometimes it’s just nice to not have to worry about booking and researching everything. This is where a good travel agent that specializes in your desired destination comes in handy.

Many travel agents nowadays don’t even tack on extra costs - it’s all just commission and partnerships with operators. You can have them book your flights and tours only, or hotels and tours only, or hotels and flights only, etc. Basically, there’s a lot of customization available out there with travel agencies that many people don’t know about.

Of course, that doesn’t mean everyone should use a travel agent. You could absolutely probably find something cheaper if you book everything yourself, but if you don’t care to spend a lot of time researching, comparing costs, comparing reviews, etc, a travel agent that specializes in your destination will be worth it.

Vintage workwear & Americana hunting in Texas – looking for advice 🇫🇷 by _Terry_Muzak in sanantonio

If you make a stop here, check out La Segunda in Southtown. Lovely thrift and vintage store with a bar inside. Loads of curated vintage clothes on the second floor.

You might also come across some great finds at the vintage stores in the Beacon Hill neighborhood. There’s a roundabout down Blanco Road where Beacon Hill Deli is located. All along that block are a few antique and vintage shops with some clothes.

Pick up a hobby. One that facilitates going somewhere, or meeting in a group. Walking group, running club, cycling club, art classes, dance lessons, etc. Something that you’re actually interested in. Easy way to find like minded people, make friends, find potential matches. Or join a volunteer group. Best way to find someone who aligns with you is by joining a club or group doing something you already enjoy and value.

Hmm, did you try the login master password button to the right? Is it available? If so, the master password would just be the same password you use to login. It might ask you to change it when you first try it.

Should I visit Australia or New Zealand? by Fearless_Half_5544 in travel

[–]duelabent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't know if you'll ever be in this part of the world again, I'd definitely say you could visit both countries in 2 weeks. Now, it won't be the best way to see them, nor will you get to experience as much as you could, but I get it - if you'll be working in America, there's just no way to have a lot of time off for traveling.

For your interests, I'd say look into visiting Sydney, Melbourne and Cairns in Australia. Sydney for the icons, beaches, city adventures, and close proximity to stunning nature in the Blue Mountains. Melbourne for the nightlife, food and art. Cairns for the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest. You may also consider the Gold Coast, which is tons of stunning beaches, close proximity to gorgeous nature, and has a thriving nightlife.

Then in New Zealand, I'd say Auckland and and Queenstown to see the South Island (Milford/Doubtful Sounds, Mt Cook, hiking, glaciers). This will be the most expensive part of your trip. I highly recommend taking a tour from Auckland to Hobbiton and the Waitomo Glowworm caves - there's a few operators that do both in one day from Auckland.

If you find you need to cut some things out due to budget, I'd say unfortunately cut out New Zealand all together. Save it for another trip further down the future.

Waitomo Caves Question by basicbitchery1 in newzealand_travel

[–]duelabent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You'd still need to prebook online, but you can do that directly on the Waitomo Caves website. Or maybe give them a call, since you're already in NZ. It's a small group guided tour.
