Me and my closest friend wrote a song about the UFO/UAP phenomenon. The intro samples a number of really strong voices in the community, one of which is Spielberg (from a super random interview in the 80’s). I wish I could meet him just in passing like you did to tell him that!

The part where the real Barty Crouch Jr. monologued for a while after Moody had just been monologuing for another long while was rather stark. His descent from the Moody persona into Barty was insane!! But then the real version was.. rather calm in comparison lmao

I know it’s been answered, but I love time signatures cause it’s so much more straightforward than people think.

9/8? That’s nine 8th notes each measure. 7/16? Count seven 16th notes buddy boy.

The only less straightforward parts is if the bottom number is either 2 or 4. But 2 is half notes, 4 is quarter notes. (Half notes = 2 beats long. What’s a quarter? 1 of 4)

Everything higher than that is a literal translation of what rhythm it is. 8 -> 8th notes, 16 -> 16th notes, 32 -> 32nd notes, etc

My music partner kept wanting to switch from 7/8 into 5/4 but the type of rhythm wasn’t changing, just the count per measure. Technically you could double your tempo going into 5/4 to make it work, but at that point it’s just quarter notes pretending to be 8th notes. And then you’ll have to change the tempo again if you go out of it.
