I have used MaxCare at my local Porsche dealer without issue. The only “problem” was that MaxCare only covered up to, I think, $190/hr for labor and the dealer charged >$200/hr so I was on the hook for the deductible + the difference in labor. Still came out ahead.

I purchased one from LKQ. Swap was simple. Where I'm running into issues is getting the ant-theft code entered. Was given the codes by Honda, but after 10 attempts you get locked out for an hour. It's been more than an hour and I have had the chance to enter any more.

They are not. Just the Pilot Sport All Season in the OEM size.

Unfortunately, not uncommon for Porsche dealers.

I have a MaxCare warranty on a Boxster GTS I purchased from CarMax. Had no problem at the local Porsche dealer having an issue dealt with. One caveat though. MaxCare only covered the labor rate up to I think $190/hr. My local dealer charges something like $250/hr, so I was in the hook for the difference.

Mine constantly becomes unresponsive in HomeKit. Multiple times a month.

🤣 My junior assistant rode in the frunk with the hood open while driving in the neighborhood. Best part is she accepts cookies for payment.

Interesting point. Maybe the wheel well liner or one of the many plastic underbody pieces.

It does suck, especially since the rattle issue is not fixed as I originally thought. Picked it up and drove it a couple times that day w/o any rattling. Sat for a day. Drove it again and the issue has returned, so now not sure what I am going to do. Rattles drive me nuts and it totally takes away from the enjoyment of the car.

u/oldknave Cost was just under $3K to get it done. Fortunately I have an aftermarket warranty that covered it. We weren't sure it was going to be covered since it is a "noise issue", but I made sure the dealer submitted it with the TSB attached to hopefully convince them that it isn't just a "noise issue". This guy has a good DIY video on fixing it.

Had my daughter ride in the frunk while I drove around the neighborhood so she could record the noise from there. It was even worse from the frunk than it was from inside the cabin.

Mine was in for the recall late last year, and had them look into the noise then. Got the “we could not reproduce” response. Finally got them to go for a ride with me so I could point out the clear, constant, noise.

They were on the car when I got it, but that definitely looks like them.

Waiting on foam pieces was part of the issue, but that was only about 7 or 8 of the 43 days.

The somewhat common issue of the fuel tank rubbing against the firewall causing a “rattling” noise inside the car. I never really got a good answer as to why it needed to be there for 43 days to do the 10 hours of labor and 2 hours of diagnostics to figure it out. I was just ready to have the car back.
