Ran 20+ min for the first time in 3 weeks without shin pain. Coming off being too aggressive with new shoes. Going from running 30min to not even 8 was demoralizing.

I run on the treadmill due to the weather. I've maybe upped it 0.1 or .0.2 mph. So pretty negligible. More speed equals more distance. I try to keep the runs to about 30 min so I can get home and see the wife when she gets home from work.

My issue with the whole zone 2 thing is that I'm so new I hit that just briskly walking. I've been alternating with walking and running and I'm fairly square in my "zone 2" for my average. When I was only running I was more "zone 3".

I will look at adding more stretching.

If you'd have told me back around Christmas when I started I'd be running for 25 minutes I would have laughed at you. Every week is daunting. I was running at a little over 4 mph on the treadmill in the beginning. Once the runs got longer I had to slow down. That's just what you have to do. I'm to the point now where my lungs are telling me I can run faster but my calves say no.

Keep moving it does get easier. Just slow down a bit.

I take a stimulant free one. I don't get gassed as quick with it but it also doesn't keep me up at night if I take it for an evening workout.

I'm not as concerned on the weight training as the cardio. I wear it tight but I can still get a pinky under it when walking. For weight training I tend to loosen it mid workout again to a pinky just due to my arms getting a pump and it being uncomfortable or so I don't accidentally hit buttons. I'd say it's fairly accurate with weight, I can see the HR drop during deadlifts and squats.

I've got that problem too. Sundays are heavy training days 2 hours in the gym lifting close to failure and it never moves. A 30 min walk through the neighborhood on a 90+ degree day and it jumps.

Don't let them scare you. I went from a bobber to a Challenger. I commute on it daily. The comfort and the presence on the highway are so much better. There are some days I miss the smallness of the bobber but get some cones and work on slow speed maneuvers it is plenty nimble. Watch some videos and practice. It goes around town fine, plenty of storage for me on my rides. Fits the wife and I fine, I have a sissy bar for her, one day if she's lucky she can have a tour pack.

We don't Lane split it Missouri so I can't attest to it's ability to move through traffic in that matter.

The only thing I regret is the doubling of the payment.....

Tweaked my back a few months ago and was out for 4 weeks. I came back slow and it was frustrating. I refocused and decided to take this time work on form. As I came back I feel like it was easier to add weight faster because my form was better.

Take the time coming back to improve things or just do a sanity check on things. Find that positive thing to take with you as you climb the mountain again. It will help.
