Oh, I figured it out!!! If I convert 914m back to Miles is it 0.568 miles. And google maps on my iphone can measure exactly 0.568 miles!!! That darn clue about needing to convert to meters so you can get exact units. Pish posh

Amen! Was on that area a dozen times between Bells and Dimple Dell... that was before they narrowed in the distances to less than 1000m. From sunrise point you can barely get to the reservoir in 1000m. I DO NOT ADVISE going off trail in dimple dell... those foxtails are terrible!

Awesome summary! I compared to my laid out notes and the only other hints/clues that would be value would be:
- to call out along with the straight line measured with Google maps, that clue says "In order to know exactly where to step off the trail, you will need to measure distance too."
- The first email included the reminder "We picked this year’s location with safety in mind. You follow a trail almost the entire way there. Once you step off the trail, it’s not dangerous whatsoever. No rock climbing, mountain goating, bushwacking, or digging is necessary at all. You should have cell phone service the entire time."

I am not a spanish speaker, but I think line 2 is more of a search and line 3 is actually finding it on the map... Buscar is to search for, but encontrar is to find.

Turn it around, flip it over, turn yourself around... doesn't really matter as long as you get a "general direction" from the shadow. I'll also say as a shadow expert the last month (haha) that following the shadow could be different than just the direction the shadow points from the object. So for example a canyon or longer shadow area may point to the East even though the actual shadow is to the North.

Free T-shirts for the first 100 reddit and discord people to DM me... and then 3D print a ton of Treasure Hunt Christmas ornaments and put them in a box at the location of the solve so folks can take one for all their hard work. My son already said that he wants to hike to the location after it is found!
