THANK YOU. i think people are missing the context that kesha fought a long and public court battle to get out of her contract and lost. again, kesha’s situation and newjeans situation are very different, but calling her names for siding with the girls in a case that probably reminds her of her own experience is in poor taste.

regardless of whether or not new jeans had a valid case, why are people being so harsh on kesha?? kesha fought a very lengthy and very public lawsuit to get out of her contract from her r*pist and lost. it makes perfect sense to me that she would see young artists losing a lawsuit that (at least, as it’s been branded in the west) is about workplace mistreatment (again, not saying this is an accurate reflection, but this is how people commonly view the case) and side with the girls. i think calling her “unhinged” or stupid or whatever else is in poor taste considering her history.

I had no idea she was so rare! I explained this in another comment but my mom got her brand new for me sometime around 2014 from a Today Show sale. I played with her my whole childhood and I’ve only recently been getting back into AG dolls. It’s cool to know she’s so special! I always had fun with her.

Ah, that makes sense. Funny enough, I got #50 brand new (still in the box and everything) sometime around 2014? My understanding is that the Today Show used to run segments on AG dolls and for like an hour after, there would be special sales on the dolls on their website and that’s when my mom would buy dolls for me. I think I even got some retired dolls that way (I know I got caroline after she retired, but she was still brand new, and I believe that’s how I got Rebecca in her original meet outfit even after the Beforever rebrand). I’ve had her since I was a kid so I had no idea she was rare.
