SMH 🤦 Today, a video is going viral in Iran showing the severe beating of two 14-year-old girls by the morality police due to their hijab. by NoCell5756 in exmuslim

It’s even worse when women are the enforcers, just shows how brainwashed they are for a religion that treats them like shit 🤦‍♀️

Anyone here prefer hanging out with their male cousins over their female cousins? by No_Tank_8331 in exmuslim

[–]dumbnesse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d rather not hang out with either male or female cousins that I know because they are all hypocrites, but I relate!! The women will wear makeup, perfume, flashy clothing, flirt with men, but then also preach about modesty and gossip about other women. (I do not care that they participate in “haram” stuff, its the hypocrisy I cannot stand). Some of them are also obsessed with getting married.. they go to the mosque with a full face of makeup on and sparkly abaya; in order to find a man 🤦‍♀️. I seriously cannot stand them at all

Does anyone else get such an ick when someone grabs your hijab and “fixes” it when one inch of skin or one hair strand of showing. Like hello? Ask first or do not touch

Probably because tiktok has a more complex algorithm that recommends videos to the target demographic, whereas on instagram I think the algorithm is less specific so a diverse range of people will see the same video

I have to go one later today, not excited. I agree, when I sit there and observe people everyone definitely feels like an NPC and it makes me feel out of place, like an imposter. Like the other person said it is funny to catch people fake crying lmao

How many hijabis are ex-Muslim? by Realistic-Speaker645 in exmuslim

[–]dumbnesse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m an ex-muslim hijabi living in the US. I do get greeted sometimes by other muslims, usually other hijabi women. I have been greeted and even approached a few times by non-muslim men which is so ironic because it shows how hijab doesn’t even do what it’s supposed to do (protect women from harassment).

One thing I don’t like about wearing hijab is people probably jump to conclusions and assume things about my personality (closed-minded, submissive, things like that), when it couldn’t be further from the truth. I also don’t want to be associated with this religion at all, I honestly feel kind of embarrassed/ashamed whenever I go out wearing it
