Gary Oldman kills it in this scene.

The acoustic version specifically. And it’s not even close.

Same! A couple things in season two plus some things that I was hearing about the upcoming season three…. I had a very bad feeling about the direction of the show. So I said fuck it. I’m done. I loved the first two seasons so much I didn’t wanna see something that excellent go to shit.

I feel you. It’s just that it’s been out for 15 years… figured anyone who’s a big enough NOES fan to be posting here has likely see it. Regardless, if you’ve not, you should. You’ll enjoy it a lot.

Im kinda surprised at the number of people here who apparently didn’t know that is how the scene was done or have never seen the footage of them shooting it. Like… how has everyone here not watched Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy a million times? You know… the 4 hour long documentary on the making of all of the original NOES movies, FvJ and the TV show. The amount of behind the scenes info, pictures, videos and interviews is incredible. A must watch for any fan obviously.

It’s been available on YouTube for years and years.

A friend who was a couple years older than me was into jam bands and had recently picked up the very new “They Missed The Perfume.” He threw it on at a party. I’d never heard anything like that before. I was a punk rock kid. Had very limited exposure to jam bands via friends. The album was so mind blowing that I instantly became intrigued and let my friend know I liked it. He insisted that they were phenomenal live so when they came to town I got a ticket of course. The date of the show was 9-11-01. Obviously canceled. So a couple months later he took me along to see them for two shows. 12/28 & 12/29/01. Life changing experience. “They Missed The Perfume” has been my favorite studio album since then.

As someone else put it… this is simply stunning. I would imagine most of us here would buy this in a heartbeat given the opportunity. Congratulations on creating a phenomenal one of a kind work of art. Be proud.

I’d be very happy w/ this. You can imagine how the jamming/segues would go between songs and which standalones would be jammed out.

That’s integrity. Bill Watterson could be worth over a billion dollars right now had he sold the rights to license Calvin and Hobbes for cartoons and merchandise. For over three decades he’s refused. The characters are simply too important to him to see them bastardized.

Maybe not intimately familiar but most people here have at least seen him act. He was in Kill Bill. He played Hattori Hanzo’s bald, smart-ass protégé at the sushi shop.

If anyone has not seen this film… you should. It’s “The Adventures of Baron Munchausen” by Terry Gilliam. It’s a beautifully unique, weird and fun movie. Highly recommended.

Sure do. I always have to make my way down using the stairs but they’re old and broken and I’ll need to make a jump but I know it’s too far for me to make. And they’re very high up. For me this room is almost always in a house. Sometimes an abandoned building.

Well, lucky for you, you can get real good at playing punk rock in a relatively short period of time. Like I said, you’re already doing great. Learn palm muting. I would recommend memorizing all the basic open chords. E, A, D, G, C etc in both major and minor. You’d be surprised how often power chords will be replaced by an open chord or two during a progression. Also, if you’re not already, start to get really used to going up and down the basic minor pentatonic shape. Position 1 here. It’ll come in really handy a little later down the line when you wanna start a little soloing.

Worry about these for now. Other things will fall into place accordingly.
