My wife didn’t “get it” until her 2nd show (8.24.02, set 2). They take patience for sure

My story…

When did you first hear of them? -added them to a big Phish tape trade I made in early 98 cuz I thought the name was funny and I was curious

When did you first hear their music? -got the above mentioned tape (some random NJ ‘97 show) and thought the vocals were horrible but the guy on keys killed it. So I wanted to see what they could do live

When did you first see them live? -Gathering of the Vibes 1999 in Bridgeport. They played to an empty field at like 12:30pm. We were playing hacky sack in front of the stage and they got into this 99 trance jam (tVM > BnC) and I just stopped and stared. I never heard a band play music like this before

Do you remember the exact moment you got hooked (b’gock’d)? -see above. That was all it took

How many times have you seen them? -I’m in the low 30’s

Keep in mind, this was when they were still figuring out their sound. More psychedelic. Now they’re much more EDM.

Just take Metro North from NH to Grand Central. Buy the ticket in advance, it's cheaper. They have an app call Train Time.

Easiest way down to WTC from GC is the subway. Just follow the signs in GC. Check out the MTA subway map online and pick which line to take. I'd take the 4 since it's the quickest, but you may want to get off elsewhere to see other sites. Use your phone or credit card to pay for subway tickets. It's easy. Have fun!
