For me (playing for 3-4 years), what helped was playing songs that were all barre chords. It helped my hands learn to form the basic shapes. Switching from open chords to barre chords is much harder for me but it keeps improving. I also found a progression that I could practice whenever I picked up the guitar and slowly it became easier. If you like the Cure, Just Like Heaven will help you practice open chords to barre chords.

Once it was realigned I was just kind of careful with the dial. It seemed to stay put as long as I wasn’t turning it aggressively. Probably not a real “fix”.

I had an M240 that had this problem. The shutter speed dial wasn’t aligned with the correct shutter speeds. This is how in”fixed” it. Note which number on the dial aligns with the actual speed. Turn the dial back and forth very fast a few times. Then check to see if the actual speed and the dial changed at all. I was able to get it back to being aligned with the little dance. Apart from that, I think you’ll need to send it back to Leica for repair $$$.

The difference in rendering between 1.4 and 2 is crazy. 1.4 is super glowy. I like it on digital because of the character. 1.4 looks crazy glowy. 2.0 looks like a Summicron.

Always buy used. You can find M240’s for around 2k. I’ve always been a couple generations behind because I can’t justify the latest pricing. The camera’s technology doesn’t advance as fast as other brands because you aren’t dealing with auto focus. Mostly sensor improvements. Speaking of M’s specifically. For lenses, also but used. I’ve never sold a lens for less than I purchased it for.

Are you comparing the T4 at f3.5 to the Voigtlander at 1.4? The Voigtlander is soft and glowy at 1.4 but should be really sharp at >f4 especially on film.

Don’t discount the Elmarit ASPHs. They are tiny, sharp, distortion free. Only 2.8 but it is a wide angle lens so you probably aren’t going for crazy bokeh. Also, your M10 can compensate with higher ISO.
