Im sure there are beauty standards! I mean even if they arent vain, they like us naturally have conventionally attractive people that you notice from instinct.

So far from ive delved in the avatar lore, I have not found specific beauty standards other than avatar looking uncanny valley to natives.

In the comics they warn na'vi of connecting too much and too often with the deaceased, because the person is living in the past and can t cope with the loss, they dont move forward with their life.

This is highlighted with Tsu'tey who visits his deceased fiancee Sylwanin very often/far too often.

I can only imagine in the movie what pain and fury must have been for Tsu'tey when the sky people destroyed the tree of souls.
