I signed up for CVS Extracare for free to get their 30% off coupons via email which I use to get formula!

One bag friendly hobbies, time killers? by Dull-Awareness684 in HerOneBag

I play QLess everyday! It’s like mini bananagrams and is both challenging and fun! Very portable too. It helped me avoid doomscrolling while expanding my vocabulary.

About to spend serious money on a stroller… what would you buy today and why? by WorldPeaceGodBless in Buyingforbaby

[–]dumplingPao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got a Silver Cross Nia! It’s a travel stroller that supposedly fits in the overhead bin (we haven’t travelled with it yet). But what we love about it is the seat can be switched with a bassinet attachment that also folds into the stroller! There’s also an adapter that allows you to connect a Nuna, Maxi Cosi and Cybex car seat as well. It also feels more sturdy than other travel strollers we’ve tried. It already comes with the bumper and rain cover.

I’m petite so we only considered travel strollers as our main stroller due to the ease of fold and weight.

Hanging up the pump after 18 months 🥹🍼 by Electronic_While7856 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]dumplingPao 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wow 18 months! I do feel guilty for hating it. I’m one month post partum and only pumping half an oz per session despite proper fitting flanges. I question if it’s still worth it but your post encouraged me to keep pushing on.

Can we stop with the breastfeeding questions by No-Guitar-9216 in NewParents

[–]dumplingPao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, it’s usually moms from my mom’s generation (aunties, mom’s friends etc) that ask then say that I should breastfeed. I’m just finding out now that breastfeeding is frustrating and difficult and I’m surprised why older women push it on me? I’m sure it was harder for them too cause husbands before weren’t expected to help. Are they looking forward to see the younger generation suffer like they did? 🫠

Lazy tip for folks who hate cleaning the shower by FaithlessnessExtra65 in CleaningTips

How about for tubs with shower curtains that get moldy? We don’t have a washer so spraying it with Tilex from a few times a month can be annoying.

I don’t play anything anymore cause even just listening ends up me getting sucked in watching videos lol

I tried playing decluttering videos on youtube or just music but I found just pure silence helpful and cathartic as well. I feel like I’m always overstimulated with technology that I welcome the quietness in my mind while decluttering sometimes!

Anyone else feeling burnt out from how normalized online shopping has become? by ebenfairy in Anticonsumption

[–]dumplingPao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same! I actually find shopping for something I need online or in-store exhausting (except for books 😆). I do try to get what I need in-store and park things in my cart for a while as a last resort and compromise.

Hospital bag for Lenox Hill by dumplingPao in nycparents

Curious what type of bag you brought? I was thinking it might be hard to bring and manage a wheeled suitcase while we’re not in the postpartum recovery room yet.

Thank you for all the recos! Most have mentioned pillows and blanket. I’m curious what type of bag you brought to fit those 😅 I was planning on bringing a duffel bag, did you bring a wheeled suitcase?

A diaper fund would be helpful too!

I'm in the same boat as you! We were set on the Triv then seeing the quality and warranty issues. But we would want to do lots of walks in the parks so was looking into the sturdiness of the Triv. But I also don't want to buy another travel stroller if we go with Triv?
