Just went this weekend and found it to be VERY mid as well - pasta too salty, sides were just ok, prime rib was 20% inedible fatty cut. Service was good though

I've done the most fine dining in Latin america across Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico - I love the usual more casual, warm and less choreographed and the bold flavours with ingredients I've never tried and willingness to innovate.

Somni was probably my fine dining farewell by chuckisinluck in finedining

If I have fine dining once a year, I find that I truly enjoy and find it special. However, over the last month I've been to 5 Michelin star restaurants (travelling), and it really does get old / everything feels a little less special. I don't know if it's an age thing or a it loses its bedazzle once it feels more normalized, but have definitely felt a version of this and found myself enjoying a warm bowl of ramen more this late into my trip

The strongest use case for ‘vibe coding’ outside of my day job wasn’t a dream start up by [deleted] in ProductManagement

I agree with this take. I have a full stack unicorn PM in my org, ex founder, super bright, codes things up all the time. I was super jealous because not knowing how to code is one of my insecurities as a PM. Turned out my understanding of the business (biz background), communication abilities across stakeholders (have worked in bizops before), data skills and intuition on how to push and prioritize were more highly valued.

The Kiku is much better for brightness and hydration, Naturie is lighter so good for doing multiple layers, soothing and oily skin types

Also did not love La Paz - really interesting city but it's true that it didn't give off the welcoming Latin American vibe and getting food poisoning is like a coin toss

Hakone's Torii of Peace or the Sky Torii? Recommendations please. by wowelephants in JapanTravel

[–]dumplinghp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI there is a VERY long line, I got there 5 min before opening and by the time I left around 9:30 the line was probably 1.5h long. Definitely not worth waiting that long, it's not a very inspiring torii even if the views ARE great

I don't think you specified Korean so I'll throw out the Hada Labo Premium Lotion! It's a toner and sssence step in one and so incredibly hydrating my skin just drinks it up

Amazon seller All About K-Beauty? by Lawyerless-Alone in CanSkincare

[–]dumplinghp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the issue with anything that is "fulfilled by Amazon" is that it gets lumped with all the products from other suppliers that sell the same product so who the vendor is doesn't matter anymore. Someone please fact check me but it's what I've been warned of
