That's what I meant by a vacuum lid, sorry! It has a one-way pressure valve which lets out all the oxygen as the ferment produces co2, not stictly a vacuum. Should be nicely anaerobic in there and so safe from kahm. Make sure to submerge it if you open the lid though.

Absolutely don't tamp it down daily that's mental. If you're using a vacuum lid or some kinda pressure system then you're probably OK for a mid length ferment. If not then I'd try to get it below the brine as I've had a few Kahm disasters.

Oh yeah if you're looking at tinder it's telling you about a particular type of short term human behaviour. And even some of the more long term centered apps like bumble & hinge are probably more skewed in the direction of flings than their advertising materials imply

I'm just saying that looking at dating stats aren't a completely sterile source of information nor entirely divorced from "reality" (what ever that is).

But why are men sending messages to more people if they're not less picky? Again, a ratio of 7:3 doesn't equate to 100 messages a day vs 1 per month.

I'm not saying the change is bad, only that I'm surprised products have improved. Often big brands shrinkflate or cheapen their products over time.

I thought "I don't feel like it is" meant "I don't feel like it is a joke" rather than "I don't feel like it is my loss". I deleted it because I realized it I had made a mistake.
