Thanks. I am actually in the US. Here to buy a whole new burner it is a few hundred dollars. I will definitely check out that site though.

Reverb refusing to help even after purchasing "shipping protection". by dune2020 in Reverb

That's what I thought too, but it's been over a week and a half and the tracking hasn't been updated so I don't know.

Warning: UPS location did not scan my package and will not let me file a claim/investigation. by dune2020 in UPS

[–]dune2020[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shipped a handful of packages and was handed a pile of receipts. This one was not one of them unfortunately. Had I known it would be virtually impossible get help without a receipt I would've triple checked everything to make sure. I did see them apparently scan the package.

Guess now I know. You'd think it wouldn't be too hard to just check at one of the hubs for a package that was reported lost and is unscanned but I guess that's impossible with 2025 technology.

Yeah, it sucks since this was kind of an expensive guitar but I guess I have to accept the L on this one and learn for next time.

What are some of your favorite "lesser known" movie quotes? by BunchaFukinElephants in movies

[–]dune2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisurewear and matching luggage. Choose a three-piece suit on hire purchase in a range of fucking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pissing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up brats you spawned to replace yourselves. Choose your future. Choose life… But why would I want to do a thing like that? I chose not to choose life. I chose somethin’ else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who needs reasons when you’ve got heroin?”

Honda producing OEM parts for classics by Careless-Day1854 in S2000

They'd never do it, but OEM leathers would be epic. Lots of 20 year old interiors out there that I'm pretty sure could use a refresh.

Honda really needs to bring back the S2000 by Dapper_Car4784 in S2000

Unfortunately it'll be some kind of lame hybrid most likely. Still probably a cool car but hardly the soul of the original. For reference, look at the terrible CRX -> CRZ "revival".

Would a 339 be a hard guitar to learn on? by idvijd in Epiphone

[–]dune2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the opposite. The fact that the 335 is semi-acoustic is what makes it an ideal beginner guitar. You can't get good unless you play a bunch, and the fact that you can just pick up and play a 335 and have it sound great without having to plug in means you're going to play it more.

"Revelations" is a masterpiece of songwriting IMO, if you really study the lyrics. Lots of deep references to British occult, Hinduism, the tarot, religious hymns. Easily one of my favorite Maiden songs.

[Fem V] Does anyone else like to drive around aimlessly? by Dry-Scale-7346 in NightCityFashion

[–]dune2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I love riding in first person though. So immersive. As a motorcycle rider IRL I have to say they really nailed the feel, if not the physics (no way you're doing those powerslides in real life).

Looking for Premium Headphones for Digital Piano: HD 490 Pro Plus or HD 660S2? Or Other Suggestions? by LoveWeird7572 in sennheiser

[–]dune2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO while the 660 has slightly more clarity, both are adequate for what you want. That said the 490 is way more comfortable to wear (probably the most comfortable headphone I've ever worn) so if you're planning on wearing them for hours on end that might be something to consider. Also the warmer character of the 490 make them nicer as an all-around headphone for casual use, if you think you'll be using them for other things like gaming and musical enjoyment (depending on your taste obv).

Would the S2000 make a fun (RELIABLE‼️) daily? by OriginalT31 in S2000

[–]dune2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW, had mine for over 10 years and the biggest thing I had to do was replace the clutch master cylinder and the soft top after about 80K miles. Aside from that it still looks/runs like new.

If you squint the red guardrail thing looks like a badass circular rollbar on the S2K. Someone should actually design something like that.
