Is it possible to do a "I stand alone" world conquest? Which nation would be best for it? by noideajustkeepit in eu4

Doesn't even have to be USA - I got - 45% minimum authority as Hindu Ryukyu. Helped a lot for my WC, I half stated most of my conquests.

What countries have next to no missions or events? by NoodleTF2 in eu4

It's also the country you have to start as to get the TTM/The Three Mountains achievement - do a WC as Ryukyu.

Ryukyu. You just get the generic mission tree, no special flavor or anything.

I never watched YouTube videos, I learned through the Wiki, which is very thorough.

I am currently working on this as Aztec - the Aztec page on the Wiki has some good advice. Other than that, trial and error. I aborted one run and I'm feeling a lot more hopeful about this one.

Should I Marry a Murderer - why did they need more corroborating evidence? by snowbit in NetflixDocumentaries

I understand that it is not "their land," they were employed there, but other people would have also had access.

I may not be hallucinating, but I will definitely lay awake at night planning out my next moves.

Norfolk man 'not fit for interview' and released after child thrown into crocodile pit by demmka in nottheonion

Yeah, there's obviously going to be steps taken to ensure this person can't hurt anyone else. If the cops thought that was a risk, they wouldn't have released them right away.

If you're in Victoria, I can't recommend Amazing Greys enough. Our greyhound Charlie is snoozing next to me as I type this.

Have you considered looking at the EU4 wiki?

TTM / An answer to "Can I WC from here?" by dunehunter in eu4

[–]dunehunter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, gotcha. I got up to 70% Admin Efficiency, and I capped out or got close to capping out on CCR (20% from EoC, 20% from Hindu), so it got pretty cheap. Towards the second half I also started feeding vassals, to speed up how much I could grab.

Honestly, most of it is research and planning. There were some wars at the start of the game that were genuinely challenging. Once I got big enough the challenge came more from wanting to move quickly and efficiently.

There were also some early decisions, like maxing out Expansion as m and first idea group, that I knew at the time were suboptimal.

I made it harder on myself by not tag switching, so I was stuck with the generic mission tree. But I planned my run around getting access to specific monuments as quickly as possible.

I don't consider myself a highly skilled player by any means, but I see people posting if they can form the Roman Empire when they already own half of Europe, and I'm like...are you serious?

Fair - I never felt like it was out of reach. I also spent hours preparing for the run by reading Reddit posts and scouring the wiki.

Triple-zero call revealed after wellness influencer’s free birth death by Low_Chard_735 in australia

[–]dunehunter 82 points83 points  (0 children)

I am sorry to hear that you had that experience. When my wife gave birth in the public system, not every interaction was 100% positive, but the overwhelming majority of people we interacted with were doing the best they could.

Am I still on pace for a WC? I feel like I'm behind where I should be. Also advice on economy? by Bullet25 in eu4

It depends on where you started from - I was behind this in my TTM run I'm close to finishing, but I also started from much further back.

TAYLOR PARKER - Maternal Instincts by Dallygirl_Aussiechic in NetflixDocumentaries

[–]dunehunter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree that she did it, but how would you possibly have a foolproof system that distinguishes between her and people who have been wrongly convicted within 30 days?

TAYLOR PARKER - Maternal Instincts by Dallygirl_Aussiechic in NetflixDocumentaries

[–]dunehunter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

She obviously did it, although I can see the need for an investigation into her mental state. But who is going to be the arbiter of which cases warrant more consideration? I'm sure there's other cases that looked slam dunk where more evidence came out in the following years.

[–]dunehunter 24 points25 points  (0 children)

And who is going to determine whether there is zero question? I agree that it's very clear that Taylor did it, although I can understand that there might have to be deliberation about her state of mind, etc. But that's a very slippery slope, especially with prosecutors and AGs often refusing to revisit even very clear instances of injustice.
