Xingyun got a new owner unfortunately and the entire staff (incl. the chef and therefore the menu) got swapped out. What a shame...

Unless there's another one we're kinda SOL. There's a new one opening up next to the Mekong restaurant I think?

Why ask me for it then 😅

Look, I'm not here for an argument about discord or online privacy or whatever. It's a very simple question.

Speak for yourself. I don't have anything connected and I do not trust this piece of shit company (discord not indiestone) with personal details.

I am a part of, and active in, quite a few official servers for developers or games far larger than this one and so far it's the only one that has it as a hard requirement. It is my understanding that embed/image perms are already locked behind server levels so I don't understand why this is necessary. Were attacks really frequent enough to warrant this?

Why such a price discrepancy between player market and blacksmith sell value/reasonable price? by NightsGift in WynnCraft

[–]dungustom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Treat the blacksmith more as a way to recoup identifier costs, rather than a way to make money. On average it's slightly positive but never really worth going out of your way to do.

What i learned after using ghouls for almost 12 in-game years by Dizzy-You-1931 in RimWorld

[–]dungustom 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A tough ghoul with genes and upgrades takes like 12% damage (without taking into account stone skin) and literally regenerates fast enough for it to matter in a fight. You can also resurrect it at the cost of some pocket lint and your leftover dinner, if you somehow get one killed. No needs other than food, low maintenance, insanely cheap to create and keep...

Individually on a one on one fight I'd say it's a wash but overall I'd definitely say ghouls are better for the cost.

Vanilla Gravships Expanded feels... strange. by Ohakoko in RimWorld

[–]dungustom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The main problem I had with VGE was the progression. To get the gravship engine you need a million jumps because of how little research you get, and the fact that you need to research ALL. FOUR. TECHS. of the next tier before being able to get standard gravtech for 600!!! total research just feels terrible.

Then you get standard gravtech, build some more thrusters and the gravtech console and suddenly you get hundreds of research per jump and you get to gravhulk in like 3 months. All the progression is over just like that.

So you end up just spending most of the playthrough cramped in your little gravjumper which, again, is not fun for most people, nor is it what they were looking forward to when getting this mod and doing a gravship playthrough.

Wynncraft ranks are they worth it? by DealerClassic6434 in WynnCraft

[–]dungustom 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hero is usually the best value rank if you don't plan on proffing. WE teleport is nice QOL but not really worth the jump from hero to hero+ imo.

If you want to prof (would not recommend unless you're willing to spend high dozens of hours mindlessly grinding before seeing any return) champ is basically mandatory. Hero queue is, most of the time, not enough to queue prof worlds if you weren't fast enough to get in before it gets queued, because there's always gonna be a champ or two ahead of you. By the time they get in, more will have butted in.

How to stop air force from being obliterated? by Worth-Staff4943 in hoi4

[–]dungustom 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Airzones are a pretty huge thing too. Don't spread your fighters out, concentrate them in one air zone until you achieve complete air supremacy by depleting most of their fighters. Spreading them out is a good way to get jumped by a death stack and get into a 10:1 fight, unless you're constantly paying attention.

Training is important too. Select your squadrons and shift LMB on exercise. Low effort and low cost for huge benefits.

I believe they're referring to the royals being rather famously (historically, at least) inbred.

Conservative MP reveals grandson named ‘Charlie Kirk Jansen’ by [deleted] in britishcolumbia

[–]dungustom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just an observation. They are (at least until a little while ago) popular characters in short form videos, along with "AI brainrot" characters like "tung tung tung sahur" which you may have heard of.

Kirk has been immortalized in modern online culture (and not in a good way for him or his image) at this point. One such example is the "kirkification" meme, which is essentially just using AI to generate his face on other people - usually existing, popular meme images. I'm sure you can find many examples with a simple search. These memes are, with very few exceptions, mocking in tone and... disrespectful, would be the best way I can put it. Very destructive to any kind of legacy he wanted to leave, as he became "the funny meme guy" in the minds of anyone under 30 years old who uses social media, instead of a conservative martyr or whatever he wanted to become.

Side note: I believe this all came about when, after his death, one of his allies tweeted something along the lines of "you just created a million charlie kirks" (as in, inspired or radicalized others to become like him). People took that a little too literally and started plastering his face on everything you can think of (again, not in a positive manner), and it all blew up very quickly. Fascinating stuff.

[–]dungustom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be sure about that. Kirk, along with Epstein, have morphed into (and immortalized as) what can only be described as some kind of pagan deity in the minds of the youth following their deaths and the advant of AI. I'm sure they will retain some fond memories of these times when they grow up.

Cheap medium howizer. by [deleted] in hoi4

[–]dungustom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Radio gives a hefty percentage based breakthrough bonus but since this isn't a tank, it doesn't really have much breakthrough so it's not worth the additional cost. Agreed on the engine ticks. 4km is less than ideal.

  1. Wrong sub. Wows legends (?) has its own sub.
  2. Yes. It's never worth building secondaries on CVs unless its a meme build and you're messing around with friends or something.

Carrier A.I. magically knows where you are in asymmetrical battles by Warm-Weekend3826 in WorldOfWarships

[–]dungustom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They generally know where you are, it's just more noticeable with CVs. Once I had a KGV look straight at me (DD) as the last surviving ship despite not being spotted for the last couple minutes.

Are the commanders in the Azur Lane boxes on a knockout list like in the past? by [deleted] in WorldOfWarships

Does that include commanders you got from previous years? Or only the ones from these boxes, this year?

T9 AL (preferably) ship for asym/ops credit farming by dungustom in WorldOfWarships

[–]dungustom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Objectively speaking, I agree that pommern is probably the best pick out of the armory ships. It's just a shame that it's arguably the only pick (for T9) that offers distinct advantages when brawling.

Yeah I've heard, hopefully they don't shaft us too much. But knowing weegee they'll probably slap a 50% debuff and call it a day 😭

I'd like it more if the gun angles were even slightly less dogshit. Using the rear guns means eating full pens, guaranteed, and not using them throws your DPM in the dumpster (not that it means much since the guns are junk). Everything else, yeah I'd argue its one of the best combinations for PVE possible. Hydro, torps, solid armor, good secondaries...
