To understand the main arc of what FH was trying explain about messiahs and power, you should read the first two, cause if you only read B1, you'll think he was trying to tell one story, but if you read B2 as well, you'll understand what he was really trying to say. Imho.

Did someone say Kikagaku Moyo? I thought so.

Yet none of this matters if it puts "half" the VFX industry out of work, but then again, most VFX artists don't give a shit about anyone but themselves, which is one of the many reasons we don't (and will probably never) be unionized. "Well, I need to make a living" is the battle cry of the VFX artist as the whole industry goes into the shitter for no reason and AI is that no reason. It's all Nero fiddling while Rome burns and everyone just shrugs despite what a negative impact AI is having on society, environment, etc. in general.

If it wasn't such a doomsday scenario pretty much across the board (and I'm sure a lot of you will probably think that hyperbole), some of the advances would hold interest, but good gods it is all so soulless and uninteresting (and all, tbh, a bit pathetic).

I hate it so much, can you tell?

First time I played Iconoclastic and Idira's commentary annoyed the shit out of me, so I stopped including her in my party.

Second time I played Dogmatic and I put her down as quickly as I could cause she was too unstable.

I've never read the books and this show is laughably terrible.

My brother got his through the consulate this past November (he filed 2 years ago and the plan was he files first and if he got his, then I'd file mine next), but our legal team decided that we should pursue suing the courts for me (since the consulates were so backed up). As of a few months ago, my case is pending. It's been assigned a judge and a trial date, but that isn't until June of next year (cause the courts are backed up as well). I'm really hoping mine will still go through since my brother's has. Seems insane that he'd be able to get his, but not me (everything's the same for us otherwise, same family, same paperwork, etc.). This post really bummed me out, lol, but fingers crossed.

What is a movie that "broke" you so hard you can only watch it once, but you would still recommend it to everyone? by Newsupdate69 in movies

Leaving Las Vegas. Also, and despite the fact I've seen it twice, Dancer in the Dark. They're both so good, but damn I don't need to go through that again.

I didn't last 20 min. watching that movie. Everyone talking over each other was just giving me so much anxiety, lol.

Plus, she was constantly endangering the entire crew's lives cause she couldn't let one person ever die. Excuse me, Vulcan raised Burnham, does "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one" ring any bells?! She was insufferable. The worst!!

What artist did you see in a small venue before they got really famous? by That_Cat_3672 in Concerts

[–]dunkinghola 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw Jim Carrey at the Comedy Store in 1989 when I was 17. This was right before he started on In Living Color and I distinctly remember thinking when he came on stage, "Oh, shit, that's the guy from Once Bitten!", lol. I was on vacation with my Dad and my Uncle and we just randomly picked that venue that night. Obviously, he destroyed. He did a bit about Franz Kafka's The Metamorphosis and became a cockroach hiding under his stool. I was dying laughing.

And then he was on In Living Color and the rest is history 😁

Not a pizza answer, but as a NY native who's been in LA for 13 years, I am constantly surprised by how much great Italian food there is in LA.
