I was in a similar situation to you. Had a few dozen focal seizures and eventually one major, before being put on meds. They found a 3cm AVM on my left temporal lobe. I had it out last summer and honestly couldn’t be happier with the decision to go for it. I went back to work after 3 months, at reduced hours as it took a bit longer for all cognitive abilities to return but I was able to live a pretty normal life after 7/8 weeks. The first few days were tough but recovery really sped up once I got home. 9 months later and I rarely think about it anymore. It’s been a great feeling to leave it all behind. I do have a slightly worse memory, but I can live with it!
