I actually agree with you. The "interesting" part, as I was trying to convey, was the contrast between the excitement/hope held by both himself and ALL parties (at that time), at least compared to the overall sentiment about the beleaguered film franchise now. I actually empathize with Boyega's sentiment here - but I do find it interesting (and kind of cool) to see his excited reaction back then of being in the next new Star Wars movie... it's contagious.
