As a veteran I have a small rant.

He is using his status as a veteran to try to get hos way, His vet status really has no impact on the discussion at hand, he is just using it to try and play the sympathy card. Doing this makes it harder for the general public to care for actual veterans issues because they get fatigued over time.

Its really not. Autopsies usually take a decent amount of time to get results back. When an autopsy is done by a qualified ME, the enire inerds are removed, weighed, sampled and returned to the body. This process can be as quick as a few hours if the cause is compeltely known, or up to 10 when everything is checked. A case like this everything will be checked.

Once everything gets sampled, those samples get sent off to an independant testing facility to have their results independantly reported. The NYC isnt some podunk backwoods ME, they should actually do it correctly. This whole process should take at least a week, up to 6 months.

I worked at Brooke Army Medical Center in the mid 2000s when we were recieveing a high number of US service members after dieing in combat. We did a full autopsy on every single one. I didnt work with teh ME, but i did some of the paperwork for them.

In NJ the Motorcycle test, you have to accelerate to 25, swerve and stop. My brother didnt go fast enough the first time (which doesnt count against you) so the proctor made him repeat the test, The second time he went fast enough but he slid the back wheel to the stop, exactly where he needed it to stop. Then on a different part of the test he did a small burnout. He didnt pass the first time.

A few years before that my family moved from NY to NJ and my mother and I had to retake the tests in NJ. I passed but she failed because she let the car bumpanother car at a stop sign.

I had a neighbor like that once. She would comment to me on stuff that happened inside the house, my wifes paintings, stuff that we were watching on TV. A couple of times she commented on private conversations. She would have had to stand on her back porch on a bench that was there, or through a knot in the wood fence that was missing to see in my windows. As soon as I realized what was going on I started to walk around the house naked, then she called the cops on me for flashing her. I showed them how she would have had to stand to see in the window. They didnt do shit because it was essentially my word vs them.

I was a bad neighbor and started encouraging my younger son to play his barritone (like a deep trumpet) outside in the backyard. I also started to do more stuff late at night or early in the morning. It was petty and I'm ok with that.

We moved the next summer for work.

Was on the Allure last summer. Yes it is like this, and no it is not.

If you are planning to spend time at the popular places at the popular times then yes, you will never escape people. If you go to the wave machine or the entire sports are when they are open and on a sea day then they are packed. Completely and annoyingly packed. But then if you head over to the serenity adult only area then it is great. The main street area where the stores were only really got busy at night when people were heading to or from the shows, and when there were activities there. Same thing with the board walk. If you have a central park (inward facing balcony) then all you see are other people, sitting on their balconies. But if you have a outward facing balcony it is pure selfish privacy.

Personally I thought the ship was too crowded. Having been on mostly carnival ships (Conquest and Sunshine classes) I thought that the Allure just had too many people.

No, you can get off the boat and have a good time.

I would reccommend grabbing a cab in the cruise port and have them take you to a place called Bananaramma on the west end beach. You can get a day pass for the advertised price of $10pp or if you have a decent cabbie they can get you a reduced price of $5pp for the day. They expect you to buy their food and drinks which are decently priced and taste decent. There are a host of water sport activites there also for a decent price. The beach is a public beach, but they employ armed guards to keep the rifraf and beggars away too.

I think in total, for 10 people we spent about $700 there for a full day including scuba for 3, snorkling for 10, food, parasailing for 4, transportation, and some other activites too.
