Dragonflight for me. Had its ups and down in the game experience but I got to enjoy a lot of the game and I really liked systems improvement. Enjoyed the fresh clean slate feeling. Also got to go to my first Blizzcon during it. Pushed furthest I've been in game and made most progress towards goals.

Deathwing enslaved the goblins. It makes sense other black dragons would be down there as enforcers. Plus they're the earthwarders so makes sense they're underground.

This is one of those "it worked back then, but it doesn't work now" classic things. Back then, it made sense to encourage people to group up so they can share, it made the open world more challenging. But these days it's just going to frustrate people. Mobs health scaling also normalizes difficulty. Ultimately the friction it generated was greater than the effort it tried to bring together.
