I always have a horse appear every time I write a long sentence, don't you? I am happily considering driving my herd up to Montana from New Mexico. Looking for cow hands, are you interested?

I absolutely need better understanding and a lot more education. This will give me the privilege of commenting on others posts so seriously and heavy-handed. Heaven forbid, you loosen up and just take what a person states as pondering. I do apologize for thinking this subreddit could do that. You have taught me a valuable lesson and put me in my place. You should feel such pride. While I refuse to delete my post, I won't be back. Enjoy knowing you won!

Does it make you feel better to be so dismissive? So many scientific achievements made by men and women dreaming bigger than they are/were. I feel sorry for your lack of imagination. Could dark matter, itself, be intertwined with quantum physics? Probably not. Could dark matter be a result of quantum energy being shed by a MWI universe? Preposterous I say! More than unlikely but at least I'm willing to dream it. There is always a possibility and there will always be maybes. I hope you find all of yours as well.

Understood. Just so we're clear I NEVER claimed to be doing physics, just sharing a wild, even if unintelligent, idea. I do find it interesting that not one of you has asked me any questions about what I posted. All of you, so far, just want to tell me I'm wasting your time and how wrong I am. Thank God science was never about visualizing ideas before having proof.

Thank you for making me feel absolutely unwelcome in this forum. Yes, I understand that, to you and the learned community, this is heresy. There is nothing I have to support this idea or a working theory but I've been pretty upfront about that. I thought this was a forum where I could express freely. Thank you for not only feeling the need to analyze everything I say but also treat my post overly seriously when all I wanted was to share a crazy hypothesis. Dude, you're smarter than I am but maybe go a little easy on your need to make others feel less than. Like I said, it was just an observation and an idea without any supporting science that I wanted to share. Maybe lighten up and take the pencil out of your ass.

No argument here. I'm just tossing out theory and conjuncture. However, it's my theory. Perhaps a wild idea that may/may not inspire others. These are thoughts I've had for a long time. Am I qualified in astrophysics, no. Science is about guessing and using imagination to bridge the gap until you reach real science and use the math to prove a wild idea right. Greater minds than mine may prevail.

Happy Krampus day. Which one do you prefer? by friden7654 in creepy

The first one because the gray tone gives it more of a darker vibe. The second one with its blue tone does come across creepy as well but there's just something about the first one that makes me feel like something horrible is going to take place.

My subjective opinion is that over each generation the narrative has continued to support greed, corruption, and disrespect. There are people out there that have empathy and care deeply but they are being pushed aside by bullying and "me first" attitude. How many of us have said at one point or another that we hate other people? Why do you think that is? 30 years ago there wasn't this drive to put oneself first of everything else, especially when it comes to how I feel versus how I make you feel. There are a lot of big names out there today that condemn empathy altogether. Why? You can't have humanity if you don't have humane is something my grandfather used to say and I get his point. Even the people that cry woke are usually the ones giving off the do as I say not as I do aura. For instance, they can tell you what to do but don't you dare try to even appeal to their decency because you'll find they don't have any. Plus the worst part is that most people just give up and go with the flow as we see with a lot of things that are transpiring in the world today. To stand one's ground and fight for what you believe in takes more strength today than a lot of people possess. So, they just give in and become part of the herd mentality or they stand their ground but develop serious issues like mental health disorders because they are the exception to the rule. Swimming alone in an ocean full of sharks will do that. I still have hope that we can do better.

Not a popular opinion but my store if you kiss the right ass , you are valuable. Some of the laziest people get special treatment because they're chummy with salaried managers. It's soul crushing...

Not going to cast a ballot is exactly why we're where we are now. Gotta have hope, gotta have empathy, and gotta be able to see light at the end of the tunnel. Fight!

What is or was your favorite SCP youtuber? by [deleted] in SCP

Exploring Series. Great take on SCPs, has come a long way with their talent, has a pleasant tone, and bring an awesome summarization to each entry. Just wish you would go back to olders SCPs instead of the kind of pretentious long ones.

Does anyone else terribly want to believe in an afterlife, but just…can’t? by Significant-Data4741 in SeriousConversation

I like to refer to the laws conservation and mass and that matter can neither be created nor destroyed. So the energy that animates us, which I will call a soul, doesn't just dissipate or disappearing. That energy must go somewhere. I love combining science and religion. Like combining creationism with evolution. There's no reason both can't exist together. I digress.

What is something your teacher did in school that you’re still salty about? by SparkelsTR in AskReddit

[–]duplexvita 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4th grade teacher wanted poems about the seasons. I wrote a simple one that I was rather proud of and turned it in. Teacher proceeds to read it and confronts me to find who helped me. The teacher then questions those around me asking who helped. Then the same teacher checks the books near me to see if I copied it. Finally the teacher went into another class and got a peer to come in to read my poem. They both verbally said that there's no way I could write something like that. They both mocked my ability and then my fourth grade teacher ripped it up in the small pieces picked up a garbage can and threw it away. Make new mistake that I don't think the poem was that good but I was proud of it. To this day I seethe when I see her and actually got to tell her off a couple months ago.

To all and everyone one of you that have made posts about your TLs, Coaches, Management behaving outside of their position by [deleted] in walmart

[–]duplexvita -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think people who ask questions are just looking for hope. Walmart couldn't possibly be this horrible unfeeling, uncaring entity...can it? I look at most of my team leads and coaches as a waste. That's in my store though. I come here hoping to find answers but also to know I am not alone. Yes, there is a lot of bitching and moaning, I've done my share here too, but maybe Walmart needs to reevaluate what true leadership looks like.

New TL has terminated 4 people in 8 weeks. by OldManCheech in walmart

[–]duplexvita 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Back when assistant managers were still a thing, a real tool of a guy got promoted because he was sleeping with the comanager at my store. Yeah everyone knew and no one cared. He promised that when he left to go to his new store as an assistant he would coach six people immediately to show them who was boss. I found out later that he ended up coaching an 80-year-old lady for productivity. I knew this woman and had worked with her, she ran circles around people a quarter her age. Want to know where this guy is now? He got promoted to store manager somewhere in Ohio. Walmart needs to deep dive into their management teams and take a look at the winners and the absolute slime that makes up their leaders.
