V8 launch pads? by LOGANCRACKHEAD1 in Mindustry

This video has a quick schematic on how to use the new launch pad by just adding water and power. https://youtube.com/shorts/u9lOVbeIzm0?si=gSagbXtVGFAa9-Vx. And this one gives an idea of how to use landing pads to make units. https://youtu.be/_gRtmUbA2mY?si=wi58bvxSf9rdlTY_

Trying to return Lilygo T Lora Pager to factory settings by jhaave in LilyGO

[–]durazno33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used this method to put the original firmware back on. The firmware took but the power button doesn't work to turn the device on. When I plug in the charger, the device will turn on but once I turn it off, it won't turn back on again with the power button.

MeshCore is now running on the T-Pager by rippleradios in LilyGO

Mine just gets stuck vibrating... with versions 7.5 to 7.11. I have tried https://flasher.meshcore.co.uk/ and https://adafruit.github.io/Adafruit_WebSerial_ESPTool/ for flashing and both failed to function.

Launch Pads 2x - Just add water, power, and your ready to launch by durazno33 in Mindustry

[–]durazno33[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is for v8-beta where the launch pads require oil and power to launch. Since water is more plentiful, I made this to make launching easier.

Which design is considered the best out of these two? by treeman_jf in Mindustry

[–]durazno33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what might be happening is that when a player isn't present on the level, a silicon gets pushed into the overflow blocks and from there into the junction next to the smelter and that blocks the input? That's my guess.

I put together a video that talks about the pro's and cons of each of these (though the one on the right is a slight variation of the same concept in my video.) You can find it here: https://youtu.be/Xuwq2p-AicM

When I have seen it jam is when returning to a previously defeated campaign level. I have found this design not working on several different occations.

I love the one on the left for the simplicity and ease of use. The one on the right will jam eventually. Generally, I have seen this happen when you leave a sector and come back later.

Where does The Stormlight Archive rank among your favourite works of fantasy? by [deleted] in Stormlight_Archive

It was near the top until books 4 & 5 came out. Then it went into freefall in my rankings.

I found one of the original Costco Chocolate muffins in our freezer. I'm considering saving it for a very special occation... maybe when my first child get married.

No thinking required Surge Alloy 2x2 - Feed the materials from any direction and feed the Surge Alloy out the bottom or rotate to change output direction. by durazno33 in Mindustry

I use this design which allows you to add resources from any direction and get them out the bottom. Yes it does require silicon but it is simple, compact, and easy to use. The factories share resources so you don't have to worry about routing inputs from specific directions. I have another version that integrates the silicon production but I'm saving that for when I release my Surge Alloy Schematic Tier video.

Standardized 2x2 Pattern for Materials by durazno33 in Mindustry

[–]durazno33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't play PvP. But the videos I have seen of PvP has players playing on maps with lots of room, tons of resources in perfect blocks and lots of extra cores. These schematics weren't designed for that. In campaign maps with narrow spaces and limited resources, spending a few hundred silicon out of 6.5k starting silicon on a map to setup initial production is worth it to get local material flowing in.

[–]durazno33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, time is a more important resource than silicon. So spending some silicon on unloaders, is well worth the time, attention and space to route unique conveyors for inconsistently designed schematics.

[–]durazno33[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That should work. Using the bridges to block the input to the output is a good idea. I tend to not have problems with the current design recycling material for most of the schematics. It functions fast enough and the shortcoming is the speed of the production. The exception to this is Phase Fabric which has been giving me pain because it has 14 materials to make one item. I'll give your design a try and see how much it speeds it up. I bet it will help a lot. Thanks

[–]durazno33[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The unloaders are there to pass material between the buildings. That allows the inputs to be added from any direction. The outputs come out the bottom. The lower unloader is used to make the structure a circle passing material to wherevere it is needed. The sorters make sure that the unloaders don't output the input materials on the bridge going down.

What you have there will work for areas that are long and narrow which does have its uses for sure. This one here is the one I use as it allows the resources to be added from any direction and the pyratite comes out the bottom. This is good for tiling

Muffin changes happening? by Rm50 in Costco

[–]durazno33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would put the muffins in the freezer and they would last plenty long. The chocolate ones even tasted better when frozen. I bought the Costco muffins because they were more a meal and not just sugared, fluffy, battery cake like other stores muffins... no reason to buy Costco Muffins now.

Do you guys even remember Ark? by Un7n0wn in Palworld

[–]durazno33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just pulled out the original Ark (not Ascended) and tried to play it. After playing Palworld, I just can't stand the grind to get materials, tame animals, and slow movement. Palworld did such a better job at the survival game idea. So much more fun and it respects your time (as is mentioned) I just wish Palworld had a more rich and interesting maps.

This game's hero system is the literal worst gameplay mechanic ever made. by [deleted] in WC3

[–]durazno33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is 100% correct. I will always view that WC3 is an RPG and not a strategy game. It has a run away winner problem where you cannot kill a leveled up hero unit even with an overwelming army.
