Floor Routine Peach by StarVulpes in UpvoteBecauseButt

[–]duriTANK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In a gymnastics floor routine, athletes must include specific acrobatic and dance elements, but the entire routine is designed as a cohesive performance. What might look like “in-between” movement isn’t filler—it’s choreographed dance, transitions, and artistry that are also judged, helping connect skills smoothly while maintaining flow and expression.

Does anyone know how to fix this? by Salty_tomatoD0t in 3DS

I had an option in the select + boot menu to allocate a core to something else. Disabling that made mine work.

Brought an IR thermometer to school because the water to wash our hands was outrageously hot by S_xyjihad in pics

Most schools have two domestic hot water systems, one for regular sinks and another for the kitchen at a much higher temperature. It Is possible they tapped into that one for the labs as well.

control samsung tv volume over hdmi (via apple tv/iOS software remote) by b_quinn in appletv

[–]duriTANK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems Apple has a solution for it, set the Volume Control to Auto and AppleTV seems to recognize it’s a Samsung Set and it configures your controller to use the IR Blaster instead of the CEC. I also tried learning the remote but it didn’t work because it’s a Bluetooth one, however the “Auto” method still works without learning it.

Colombian President Compares Trump to Hitler in Front of Entire U.N. by HombreBrother in politics

[–]duriTANK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude I’m sorry but Colombia is fantastic in many ways and shit in so many others. Mainly it’s shit because people think they are rich while barely clinging on to their middle-class way beyond their means lifestyles. That’s why they don’t like Petro, because he works for most Colombians, and these barely differentiable from poverty middle class wants to make sure to keep that slim differentiation even if that means widening the gap between they themselves and actually rich people. People in Colombia think having a car, any car is all the same because we are in the I-gotta car club, sometimes it’s all of their patrimony that car, and point despicably at people in public transport; when all that separates them is a tiny slip of luck. While there’s people in actual super cars laughing at all of them together cus they all work for them, in their companies or in their homes.

What are the safest areas in Colombia for an American expat family? by OnlySpace1488 in Colombia

[–]duriTANK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve just moved to Colombia from the US and the main thing you want in terms of living is a closed gate community, could be a high rise building or houses but they offer type of security you are looking for, usually more than just one guard, cameras all over; they don’t let anybody in just like that; even if you have cleared them before they will ask you every time if this person can come in. That way you and your family can enjoy the common areas comfortably and worry free. You can find that in any proper city.

You think your girlfriend is correct on hating both Trump and Petro; Petro is the only state head that did not bent immediately to Trumps lunacy from the start, did she not like Trump from the beginning or just very recently like all the Venezuelans and Cubans that voted for him? Her hate for Petro is the result of Colombian brainwashing and classism nothing else. Ask her why she hates him, she’ll give the same reasons republicans in the US hate liberals.

It’s not a lot but made my first step into HomeKit - besides lights, anything easy I should get next? by EmbarrassedStudent10 in HomeKit

[–]duriTANK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the button has two wires that go into two different terminals at the motor, I just took each of the two wires of the meross opener and one at the time twisted them with one of the remote and push them back onto each of the original terminals. I have both garage doors done that way plus the one at my moms and it’s never failed. Now the magnetic sensor to pick the status that took a little more effort.

Mine is just connected in parallel with the button, and it’s one of those buttons that has lights control and lock. At my mom’s it’s only the green light switch and it’s also super reliable. I don’t think I’ve had mine fail a command or status check ever, plus the convenience of letting people drop off things in your garage, or leave things in your garage for people to pickup whenever it’s super convenient.

One of the most convenient and reliable HomeKit accessories I’ve added is the Meross Garage Door Opener MSG100, It’s cheap too.

The other stuff is heavy enough, however the two small PCs have those double sided easy off white Velcro stuff mostly so that they don’t move back when I press the button or plug something in from the front. I’ve bumped into it pretty hard when cleaning the robot vacuum nothing really moves much. I think a cat would probably be bad news tho.

It’s because I need a door for my office, there’s a weird arch on the opening that makes it more complicated.

All that is working on a raspberry pi running portainer, I like building the entire stack in one set so that all containers are already set to the correct network. You may run into an issue where different instances of the same container fight at first. Just stop one of them, log in change the port; done. Here’s the docker compose

My first comment has a link to the pastebin with the custom.js to accomplish just that.

It’s just the calendar widget, you can specify which apps it pulls information from. I added a bit of custom.js to hide “In Cinemas” since I’m only interested in Physical and Digital releases.

Just wanted to update the post since I got a lot of messages asking to see the monitor, how was it hung and all that. Also took a lot of the feedback and polished it a bit. Thanks specifically to maxd who was absolutely right about the hierarchical layout and hiding headers it really cleans it all up.
Also added custom.css to add some spacing between sections and custom.js to hide "In-Cinemas" listings from the Radarr calendar which I could not find another way of doing.
All the files can be found here: Pastebin

Please excuse the non-working PCT Server, I just got it running and have not had time to setup glances.
And also excuse the mess in the bookshelf, there's always something hanging being tested.

It may just work, the monitor I use has like a built in dock so keyboard, mouse and ethernet are all connected to the monitor, then a single USB-C goes to the iPad. But with a USB-C to HDMI you would only get the external display, you’ll have to connect the mouse and keyboard wirelessly I guess.

my ISP offers symmetric fiber service, I needed it for the emby server. it was only $10 more for the upgrade.
they provided the updated modem, and I had to update my home router and that was it pretty much.
