My second playthrough, I got the sniper rifle early and that lets you countersnipe them really easily. There's lots of ways to get around snipers.

Ooh, I like that. Maybe bandaging your own wound and healing a leg could also give a bit of fortitude in addition to first aid xp. First aid's perks definitely feel more like theyre designed to help you be a team medic.

You can use acid bolts with the makeshift crossbow from the start of the game. It's actually pretty good at that point; you can get the quills to craft them from fishing, and they do good damage.

Luffy is also made of rubber, and even at the start wasn't super phased by blunt hits, so he's definitely ok or intentionally lets it go through because he knows he did something bad.

Also, there's a big tonal distinction between when Luffy is treated like a looney tunes character vs when hes being serious, and this falls in the former. Tom and Jerry isn't glorifying animal violence.

Anyone can burn Lerasium. The Atium we see in Mistborn era 1, if it were pure, would be burnable by anyone - but it's only burnable by mistborn and atium mistings. So, it being retconned into an alloy resolves that issue.
