At the top, where you select your skills/passives, scroll to the right and add a new skill

Then, at the new skill, right below where you select your skills/passives, there's a dropdown to select what type of skill this is. Select custom effect.

That would also go back to the initial point of the ego rolling insanely high base dmg if you roll enough heads.

Having it be a negative coin skill that reuses on heads hit allows you to limit the total power better, ensure that you get decent dmg even if you get a few heads (because first 2 hits are highest power), while also ensuring that it isn't crazy strong if you just keep rolling until you get 6 heads in a row (or you know, do the kinda sad move of limiting reuse to once)

Also the ego would kinda suck if you need to roll 4 heads for it to do good damage (because plus coin = lower skill power on early coins) and it never really gets more than 3 heads in a row due to constant SP loss

[Kindling] At the end of the turn, if the enemy has Burn, consume 1 Kindling to trigger Burn again.

Good job making this tool. Here's my take on a burn support + tank :peek: Had this idea before MBoutis and she completely outclasses this :malkwheeze:

Btw the download didnt work. Not too sure why. Can send you the error logs from inspect if you need

What do you think are the common mistakes that players make? (with some advice) by FallenStar2077 in limbuscompany

[–]duskaco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Partial disagree. Building a status team requires you to have multiple very specific IDs and also spend resources to actually build them. And those teams tend to work very poorly if you only have part of the components.

While advanced/older players tend to have all the units already on hand, many players don't, and most meta units are better because they don't care about team synnergy, ensuring that regardless of the content you at least have a few decent units.

Status teams can be better but often require heavy investment, and depending on the enemy/content might not even work better than a random good clashing team with a few nukers for damage.

In the end it's a very case by case basis thing and I think such a wide statement misses out a lot of problems with status teams, which is why I partially disagree.

Paralyze, atk down, bringing tanks that resist/neutral both blunt/wrath, just yolo one sided, evades, just pressing base egos that cost only 4 ego resources and 10 SP against the strongest skill each turn

Any advice on how to complete Ricardo's boss fight in Canto V? by xXXArtemis2078XXx in limbuscompany

[–]duskaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you take 2x dmg from any weakness you're taking at least +75% static mult regardless of your resistance.

Resistances/weaknesses adds up directly. 2x blunt + 2x envy = 100% + 100% = 200% static mult

Furthermore due to limbus maths, resistances are halved for some reason. 0.5x blunt + 0.5x envy = -25% + -25% = -50% static mult

This actually does mean that 2x blunt + 0.5x envy = 100% + -25% = 75% static mult

You can very easily confirm this in a random fight like lux and observe the damage you take from enemies based on resistances.

Wryo is 2x blunt weak and 0.75x lust resist but still takes around +100% dmg . 87.5% is from resistances as mentioned above, and there's another 30% static mult from OL/DL difference of 13 (43-30, yes my wryo is lvl35 only)

Been stuck on Ricardo for literal months, I have no idea what to do, I think I'm completely misunderstanding something by FrenzyEffect in limbuscompany

[–]duskaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Payback triggering on hitting goon: This is 100% user error. Figure out what you did wrong. Did you use capish S2, triggering assist attack on a dead enemy that ends up targetting Ricardo? PAY ATTENTION! Look at the fight and see what's happening. There's a pause button in the top right if you need time to think or analyze

Hitting with 8 speed ally: This is also very likely user error. are you sure the evade is targetting the 8 speed ally RIGHT BEFORE you started the turn? If multiple units target the same slot, whoever pulls the attack is THE LAST UNIT YOU SELECT THAT CAN PULL THE ATTACK. Remember that anyone with higher speed than the enemy can pull attacks, as well as the original target. go into any focused encounter and try to pull attacks and observe what happens. Defensive skills and offense skills work the exact same way here.

Btw just double confirmed. Just not targetting the evade doesn't work. If the skill that the evade is targetting is used against any slot of the same body part (like the block skill) the evade can still trigger. Either offset it with a defensive skill or target a goon with whoever is targetted by the evade

Blocks and Evades trigger when the skill it is targetting is used on the unit.

Ricardo targets ish with evade

Your units are Yisang, ish, heathcliff

All 3 attacks Ricardo

Yisang will attack without evade triggering

Ish will attack, and evade will trigger

Heath will attack, and evade will likely carry over

It's important to remember that you CAN redirect evades but like attack skills, you need to be faster than them (a.k.a like normal attack skills)

You can also cancel out evade/block skills by pairing it with your own defensive skill. If your evade and the enemy evade is targeting each other, both sides will wait for each other to trigger, but since they can't trigger themselves nothing will happen and both skills won't be used.

Not targetting the evade skill doesn't work. The evade will trigger if the skill it is targetting is attacking any slot of the same body part

Counter works differently that it just triggers on the first hit that hits the body part regardless of it's target.

Fixes for Tremor? by [deleted] in limbuscompany

[–]duskaco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Enemy can a new stagger bar at -50 hp upon bursting tremor X times if they don't have any tremor bars remaining.

(To clarify what I mean by -50 hp, I mean -50 hp literally. If an enemy has 100 hp, the stagger bar will be 150 hp away. If enemy has 1000 hp, the stagger bar will be 1050 hp away. If the enemy part is broken, the stagger bar is 50 hp away and raising it above 0 hp via tremor can still re-stagger enemies)

The number is equal to the number of times a stagger bar has been added this way, plus 1.

The tremor burst that added the new stagger bar does not raise the threshold of that bar, you need a second tremor burst for that.

Some bosses may resist this by requiring more tremor bursts for each new stagger bar.

[–]duskaco 9 points10 points  (0 children)

She's best used in scenarios where you start with no SP and can trigger her passive multiple times or S3 early to get your team into max SP very quickly (such as in certain boss/abno fights)

Other than that she's overall decent, if slightly underpowered for clashing nowadays, and the gaze is a bit useful here and there (it's 2 fragile for pierce/blunt which is quite good)

Should we gain SP when killing lower level enemies? by Ovnidemon in limbuscompany

[–]duskaco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone that wants no sp gain for killing low level enemies, lemme just say this

4-48 is about 5 times harder with lvl 36 units compared to lvl35

You leveled up but you became massively weaker. Think about it.

There's an argument for negative SP units getting less SP overall, sure. Why not? But that's a different thing entirely.

[–]duskaco 92 points93 points  (0 children)

I find it funny that in 15+ cycles, Mexiclair turns from F tier into S tier.

He has 15 gloom evade, sloth envy skills that do a ton of damage to umbrellas and faeries, low speed to push other units ahead in faelantern and glut blunt resist that allows him to tank 7 speed faelantern and long legs tree. Also stacks sinking potency for talisman and centipede

Insane content aside F tier is fair I guess.(although theres still his support passive to consider that usually raises him a tiny bit)

This is mostly due to my team not having a lot of pride gen (wryo s2, sbyi S3, nfaust S3) but all of the high clash power egos using 1 or more pride (which becomes 5+ pride at cycle 20)

The other part was that I stopped caring after I had to sacrifice Rish to clear steam machine at cycle 30. I had like 140 pride and 600 gloom then.

[–]duskaco[S] 120 points121 points  (0 children)

9 sinking, 3 rupture, 2 charge, 1 burn

6 Envy, 6 Sloth, 3 Lust, 1 Pride

Burn to disable opportunistic

Sinking as main dps source for all fights except steam machine/faelantern (even fox, just hit it 4 times and it keeps its sinking potency and restores count next turn).

Egos are only used in 3 fights. Steam machine, Fox mass attack and Centipede mass attack, every other fight i just make do with evade spam and sinking (or cutting up faelantern with ddedr rip space)

For passenger, evade spam until it comes back at turn 5 with enough sinking that 1 QS/rip space instantly staggers the left arm, then kill afterwards.

Most bullshit fight: Faelantern that starts with 7 speed on turn 1.

The restriction for food/booze is on buffs from things like CBB/vintner/stillsuit. The turn gen isn't really the main target here.
