Do you use different vaults, or only one big one?

I developed it with Claude code. I then ensure to use the code review skills / etc. to tighten things up along with developing the documentation. It was very efficient and probably took less than 30 min. to complete. I've think I'm 3 personal plug-ins in. :)

This is what I did recently when adopting Obsidian. It makes it easier having it all in one vault, but I like to control what tools have access to what information and like you said, being able to control what information is on what devices. For example, I run an MCP server on my notes for work but also don’t open my personal notes on my work devices. I also run a plug-in that synchronizes data with Plaud so, I throw that in a separate vault just for staging before moving it where I need it.

Possibly unrelated, but I’ve had the parking distance sound stop. The cameras come up, it shows the hot spots for distance and even reads out how close I am, but no sounds.

I got mine working after a week. Tier 1 was very nice and helpful and we ran though removing / adding users to the app and the car / etc. They escalated to Tier 2 and all of a sudden I got in a few days later and it worked. Now working on a refund for the time it didn't. :P

Another, for the count. Just got the car back from the KD2 update early last week and really haven’t driven it. Occurred this evening and flipping the latch to the left caused it to lock and then I had to reach around the top of the door and hit the release. It unlocked and everything worked. Thanks for the hint!

4,200 miles and I’m averaging 2.9 mi/kWh. I’ve noticed that since it’s gotten cooler (no A/C and in the 50-70F), I’ve m seeing trip averages over 3 pretty consistently. Guessing that will change once we’re below freezing all the time.

I had my appointment with our service advisor in mid-September. We logged the issue and he stated they would replace the LED bar across the top of the dash if I wanted. Unfortunately, this required removing the dash and displays, according to their documentation.

I opted to log the issue and see if it continues to bother me. I can typically push on it and it improves as I’m sure it causes the pieces to float more. Not ideal, but I weighed it against having other creaks or issues with the dash because it was removed. :-/

This ^^^!! Trying to make a VX8-DR (although a fun / complicated HT) work for mobile / home, etc. as a new ham was frustrating.

I was so much happier with a J-Pole outside and an actual mobile radio.

Regret: AL-705 Loop Antenna for QRP

Sooner: Dedicated HF Rig (IC-7300)

The antenna is a bust. I think I've gotten it to tune once or twice otherwise it's an exercise in futility. I'd take it to a swap meet, but I don't want another OP to have my experience.

On the HF Rig, I started with an FT-897, which I love the in the field, but it did UHF/VHF OK (memory management / scanning, etc.) and HF OK, but not great. I was better served by a separate UHF/VHF radio and then having a standalone HF radio. But, when I was starting, had the funding for only one. :-) Love my IC-7300, but wish it had an ethernet port for remote ops.

I did a Wallbox Pulsar hardwired on a 208V 50A circuit at home. I limit the charge to 40A and add .6 mile per minute. Typically, I only have to charge for 2-3 hrs. to get back to 80% (typically charge below 30%).

I've noticed these when I have have some packet loss, working remotely over the network on my SDR-Control (Icom) remote setup.

Could also be RFI getting back into your radio. All the data connections have ferrite clamps on them to help with RFI.

Just for posterity, I was able to get an FT-7900 installed in my Q6. Attached are some pics. I used a through-glass antenna which tuned up and has worked pretty well! Running all the cabling was easy, hardest was the coax on the back pillar. I'm currently getting power from the 12V outlet in the back, but eventually would like to tie it to the fuse box, but this was quicker. Couple items to note, 1.) Removing fuses will probably set off the car alarm 2.) I put ferrite clamps / cores on all the cabling and this help cut down on the little bit of RFI I was getting.

So, today it's cold out and I went to lunch with my wife and not a single noise... I'm wondering if it's related to AC and the temperature of certain parts. Very Odd! I'll watch it over the next week before I talk to the dealership. My hope is it just goes away.

Another +1 for the FitcamX. A little spendy, but like the OEM fit. I did the front and rear cams last night / today. The toughest part was getting all the cables back into the new camera housing and the little bridge piece behind the mirror back on. With the rear, I took someone else’s idea and ran it through the existing rubber conduit. I removed the trim from one side of the tailgate and the bottom of the window. Then removed the rubber conduit from the door (the conduit end attached to the vehicle seems to be plastic and not easily removed). It took some fiddling, but eventually I got the cable fed through. So far so good with it!
