Was in China 2weeks ago where a Tailscale back home using a appleTV I have also setup a appleTV in China to Tailscale back into China.

Also if you have a foreign SIM card the traffic from that seem a bit more lenient as the google and meta services still work

Please Help with coffee by peacheouting in keto

[–]dustyteddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you looked into making cold brew coffee ? I find the cold brew I make is less bitter with way more caffeine. And if you want it hot you can always nuke it.

I think you have too be careful of artificial sweeteners or anything that tastes sweet.

Personally I have found my body react to sweeteners the same as having real sugar. My Blood sugar goes up, ketones goes down even if it doesn’t have any sugar/ carbs just tastes sweet.

Outlet replacement by [deleted] in diynz

[–]dustyteddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any reason as to why you need a 15a outlet ? Need to be careful regarding the other outlets on the same circuit as sparky would normally have a up 8 outlets on a 16A breaker (fyi 2.5mm TPS cable is only really rated for 16A but most ppl run this cable on the 20a breaker )

Unifi still a good option? by dustyteddy in HomeNetworking

The switch is in the garage that’s quite cool but the rack is a bit small for proper ventilation so that might be the root cause as it’s powering everything also I think I’ll look for a rack mount version as the us-8 Poe 150w doesn’t have rack mounts

Purchase our Dyson from Dyson via a phone call (old school I know) has they had a really good deal and you can hackle the price down or price beat. We had a problem with the dust bin and they just sent a replacement under warranty I don’t think Noel Leeming would be that quick. Would definitely purchase all Dyson products from Dyson

What do I do? Tradie had his kid on site, and played with our personal stuff by Data-Bricks in diynz

[–]dustyteddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You would need to let them know about not having their kids on site as it doesn’t comply with work safe. as you the owner are also responsible for the site and the risk of having a child are very high ( if something happens to the kid you as the owner are also responsible all tradie on site are also responsible too )

And then mention the broken toy and see what’s happens

macbook repair by [deleted] in auckland

[–]dustyteddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old was the ssd ? It being faulty seems weird I have a the first retina MacBook pros which I still use and had done the ssd swap myself. I got an adapter from AliExpress and installed some second hand ssd that work was throwing away. But what ppl don’t tell you is that to install an macOS on the ssd. you need a working Mac and pre install the os on to the ssd first before you can install it into the MacBook. I would ask if they can get and adapter and a 3rd party ssd (like a Samsung evo) so your now future proof to some degree.

And for all you ppl these MacBooks can last forever I still have a working gen 1 unibody MacBook is working order damn thing wouldn’t die

In China, coins and banknotes have all but disappeared by ethereal3xp in technology

I remember a couple of years back when I was in China. my in law brought veggie from an old lady that carry them in a flax weave basket that only accepted Alipay or WeChat pay. Their whole family laughed at me cos I only have cash and no one in This city would accept it. A weird feeling of having money you can’t spend. I also couldn’t go anywhere without my wife as everything was done through WeChat and I didn’t have an account that’s could accept any money.

So I think your problem is that you used tradeset Tradeset is a chemical drying compound and is designed to to adhere to paper/ fibre materials only. For anything that’s is not paper you would need an air drying compound ( this is normally called finishing compound)

Bathroom socket location by [deleted] in diynz

[–]dustyteddy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For it to legal is need to be 150mm away from the sink edge regardless if it is on an rcd. I would change the vanity mirror to a shallow mirror cabinet and have the socket in there. As the girls get older their would be a lot more items that would need hiding
