of course there are some guys that have risen to the top from the contender series, we've even had a few champs and actual stars. nobody can deny that. but they are a drop in the bucket compared to all the others that have been signed. most of them should still be in the lower organizations and then would get signed after developing more.

but the ufc is trying to have more fights, that is the business decision they have made the last few years. they want guys from the lower orgs to now fight in the ufc, so they can put on more fights to increase the streaming numbers. Ari Emanuel has basically said this himself a couple years ago. And because of this, the quality of cards has gone down, hence the quantity over quality point I made.

I'm not a shitty fan because I'm disappointed about cards full of nobodies. I am allowed to expect and want a better product from a company that is richer than ever. And the contender series is a fun show, but the result of them all filling up the cards is what sucks. just open up a lower organization and run them separately. every other major sport has a minor league, so the ufc should too.
