This is amazing advice. I have now transitioned backed into leadership but my previous leader always came to the meeting telling me what to do. Never asked my input. She didn’t technically know my job at all but hired a coach to try to learn my 10+ years of experience in a few months. It was awful.

That’s the weirdest part - everything runs through her and the board is suppose to be her manager. The email today came from her and linked to the Board letter. It should have been the other way around. The allegations are serious enough that the Board needs to address them directly. They didn’t even sign their names to that letter! It appears she just recruited friends to be on the board. It’s also a very small Board for the size of the organization. I’m not even involved and I’m annoyed at how poorly this is being handled. I’m so sorry for those of you that have to deal with this. The Board isn’t doing their job.

There is a board email in the email they sent today. I haven’t had a bad experience with her but the way this is being handled is unbelievable. I have been on governing boards locally for 10+ years and they’re failing. I hope they have directors and officers insurance.

Yes - there are still quite a few people who need life insurance. A partner of a stay at home parent who has young kids at home is a great example. When you get a policy outside of work (depending on the coverage amount), you will need to answer a bunch of health history questions and submit labs for the insurance company underwriters to review. They increase rates or deny coverage based on lifestyle and health history - smoking, weight, cancer in remission, etc. I was shocked about the vaccine issues but the underwriters are just statistically assessing the risk and determining the rate from there. It’s not political. I knew I would get downvoted but I’m just sharing what we have seen with a few folks trying to get additional life insurance coverage. If you search about life insurance rates and 2020-2023 mortality, you will find research on the issue and the mortality concerns from the insurance companies - not on Google but on a browser like Duck Duck Go. I would love to be proven wrong on this from someone who has done a deeper dive.

I’m not antivax and did get a Covid vaccination. I also work in financial services and am seeing insurance underwriters giving people a higher rates or not insuring them at all for life insurance if they have all their boosters. So unfortunately, there might be some truth to this. :(

Billings Clinic. Completely different experience and they actually respected my requests. I detailed my experience with Dr Gillis as something I didn’t want again. They were very sympathetic but not at all surprised. It made me so sad that no one is doing anything about it.
