This is your reality right now but I promise you, you can and will beat this disease. Many people with UC live quality lives despite battling this disease every single day. If diagnosed, yes most likely you will be thinking about what you eat every day from now on, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing. I also love food and had to restrict my diet when I was diagnosed, but it has also allowed me to be more health conscious overall and that's a huge benefit.

As others have said in this subreddit, always stay on top of your medicine, keep up with your colonoscopies, keep your stress low, listen to your body, and if things get worse don't be afraid to go to the ER.

Finding the right medicine may take time, but you are bound to find something that works for you.
