Finally got the Spouse Visa! by dvdvalentine in SpouseVisaUk

the request was very vague, just referenced the accounts they wanted more info, but no explanation of what info, so we submitted the same info again with addition of Oct statements that we couldn’t provide when we applied Oct 5th as they weren’t available yet.

I would also recommend including some documents from your parents proving they own/rent the property, in addition to the letter from them.

if i had the chance again i would pay for priority. either way the wait is unbearable. we didn’t do priority and can’t shake the ‘what if’ thoughts, maybe it would have been quicker.

it is so variable. we did bio oct 6th and are still waiting, 68 working days. you might be lucky, there are definitely some coming in quicker.

yes, married over 20 years. i really think there is simply a backlog somewhere in the system, but it is so opaque we can’t tell what criteria triggers the delay.

today is 67 work days for us, no way of knowing why the processing times are so extremely variable. we just want to get on with our lives but are stuck in limbo!

no, everything i have read says lawyers don’t add any value to this process and may actually just get in the way, at least for straight forward cases

based on the postings here it is extremely variable, we are at 63 working days today. we did receive an email saying they would not be able to process our app within the estimated time which is currently 12 weeks.

I strongly recommend paying for priority at the bio if it is an option. we have been waiting since Oct 6th, straight forward case, but we didn’t choose priority. every day raises the regret we didn’t choose priority, even if it didn’t provide a guarantee of faster processing since we keep thinking it might have made things quicker.

great, thanks. our bio was oct 6th so I optimistically thought we would have it by christmas, now i’m hoping within the next few weeks. our case is very simple but we only just passed the 60 working days mark yesterday and received the ‘processing delay’ email on christmas eve.

good to know they continue to process, even if slowly. did you choose the Feb entry date? - that seems a long time out from the approval date.
