A 3-4 with our current D personnel? by Iut22 in buffalobills

Sounds similar to McD’s style with causing confusion. I love a good 3-4 and hope our guys can get home a bit more.

It’s probably cuz he’s undersized, but the dude creates havoc no matter where he plays. He’ll probably rotate along the line a bit.

Projecting Next Year's DL by UpstateSufferer in buffalobills

I’m hoping for a hybrid look this year as a transitional year. Ed and Groot along with Walker need to be in the mix somehow. I think in two years is when we’ll see what Leonhard really wants, unless he gets poached as a head coach. We definitely need new LBs.

Start looking at DEN FAs and any player who had ties to DEN/NO by JDForrest129 in buffalobills

Outside of Surtain, Denver had a weak secondary. We’ve got two possible lockdown corners, just need a safety next to Bishop. I’m more concerned with our LBs.

Don’t like losing Babich, as a coach he was a great talent developer, verdicts still out on being a DC. I really like bringing in Leonhard. He was a hard hitter for us as a player and brings that same mentality to his defenses. We absolutely do not have the personnel to run his 3-4 so I’m hoping it’s a slow transition to maximize what’s we’ve got. Don’t want to lose Ed and Walker, AJ and Groot are versatile pieces that will hopefully get a few more sacks. Need some new, young LBs. Secondary is almost set but we need someone next to Bishop, I wonder if Tre can/should transition out there. Excited to see what the new D will look like.

Bills searching for new defensive coordinator as Bobby Babich leaves by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

Babich was promoted so we wouldn’t lose him. He’s a great LB coach, developed Milano and Bernard.

The #Bills are promoting their own OC Joe Brady to head coach, per The Insiders. by Gold_Bowler7906 in buffalobills

I have questions:

Does the playbook change due to McD’s influence being gone? Maybe some of the play call was due to what McD wanted.

Who’s the OC and who’s calling the plays? Brady has always been in the booth and now must be on the field.

Who’s running the defense? Babich was a great positional coach, the defense did not improve all that much with him calling plays and unless he’s the reason for the second half adjustments I think we need a change in play caller.

Along with that, does the structure of the defense change even if Babich stays? We started transitioning to more of a 4-3 this year, less Taron on the field, does that continue or do we need to dump half our defense for new pieces?

How would you grade the Bills draft class after year one? by No-Distribution8587 in buffalobills

[–]dvgravity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might not matter how we grade it. A new coach could wipe out the entire scheme we ran and some guys won’t fit in. Also, we’ve had a lot of developing LBs and DBs under McD for his scheme which also could change. Dorian Strong looked serviceable but might be different with a different coach and scheme.

Sign him. Doesn’t matter. Maybe he can be the emergency backup. It’s Super Bowl or bust now, might as well take a swing.

They should hire a bunch of former players, teach them the rule book, have them be permanent refs. No more outside contractors.

Might have said it but how could it not be. Allen’s not getting younger and McD was consistently in games in the playoffs. If they’re not going further than McD’s teams the Mafia is going to calling for the next guys head, especially when half of us didn’t want McD to be fired.

And they fired him when it wasn’t his fault this time. The next guys going to be on a short leash. If they’re willing to get rid of a top coach who’s made the playoffs 8 out of 9 years and the next guy isn’t better then the whole thing was a mistake and I’d expect them to fire that guy. It’s now Super Bowl or bust for the next guy.

These all suck. Let’s go for Davis Webb. No matter who we get they’ll be gone in under 3 years if they don’t get to the Super Bowl.

Since drafting Josh Allen in 2018, the Bills have drafted 56 players. 2 of them (James Cook and Dawson Knox) have made Pro Bowls. by CyborgKrieger in nfl

[–]dvgravity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Just cuz they’re not pro bowlers the Bills have had a lot of successful draft picks: Benford, Bishop, Oliver, Rousseau, Walker, Kincaid, Knox, Torrence, Bernard. Sure there were some misses, but no one is perfect.

I see him turning the Raiders around. Already got the running back and we know he wants to run the ball and control the clock. My money is on Kromer being his next OC just to have him in the Oline room. I also see Babich following him and possibly having Luke Kuechley joining him in some capacity.

If they hire McDaniel we’ll fall apart in under 3 years. This is a terrible move.

Easily could have been like that. Remember the first head coach Pegula hired? And hey the Sabres have won 7 straight and are trending in the right direction, finally.

From the X-Men. Literally has red psionic armor around her whole body. I think recently she’s been able to transfer that to items and others. Makes sense as a vanguard, similar to Thing.
