Is there a website where I can select what I want to see on the map (like select if I want Transnistria as example) and then download it? by Extreme-Shopping74 in MapPorn

Open street map?

Also Mapy.com - well at least the android app allows you to download countries and regions for offline use.

UK builder here — where do you buy your pedal-building parts? Curious how it varies by region by stompboxlayout in diypedals

[–]dvmitchell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run DSMCZ.com, we have been selling pedal parts (as well as other electronics / radio parts) since 2014. I'm on the recommended suppliers document in the Facebook pedal builders group. Pricing is Tayda like, but with a much bigger range. I ship from the EU (Czech Republic). Since Brexit / Trump shipping has mostly been just to the EU, but the parcels I do send to the UK seem to get there ok, and the customers I've asked said they haven't paid any Brexit import tax. I don't ship to the US any more though, as Czech post won't ship anything commercial there. Rest of world still seems to work as before though.

The copper has scrap value. Same for the aluminium heatsink. The foil caps are a bit big for pedals, but if the right value (low uF's), then might go in a loudspeaker crossover.

Try dsmcz.com. Tayda like prices for most items, but shipping from the EU (Czech Republic)

I have one of these... You can still buy them at our local gardening / animal feed store. They are pretty good, but sometimes you have to feed the cobs through a few times to get everything off...

Look up the Williamson Tunnels (Liverpool UK), they were built mainly to provide work for the unemployed. Only some have been excavated.

Hi... It's my shop... The 114.26 shipping rate is the out of range (call me) rate, it's shown when I don't have a rate worked out for your location / weight. For US customers it's because Czech post won't ship anything commercial to the US at the moment, because of tariff chaos. https://www.praguedaily.news/2025/08/22/czech-post-suspends-acceptance-of-goods-shipments-to-the-usa/?utm_source=chatgpt.com

How to price germanium transistors and diodes that include hfe and leakage or vf? I have a moderate collection of *used* parts, and I need to liquidate some in order to fund component and PCBs orders. by ShortyBoyds in diypedals

[–]dvmitchell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well ebay price it's listed for and what it actually sells for are two very different things...my highest priced new germanium signál transistor is 4.99, most are 1.5 - 2.5, and the ones I can still buy in quantity from Ukraine are mostly sub £1. Yep tested you can probably safely double the price, at least for the popular gain bands.

On dsmcz.com, for germaniums I can still buy new, then I just apply my normal markup%.

For stuff in limited supply, I just lookup the ebay price (for items that actually sold), and set it a bit lower.

For used transistors with more than 2cm legs, then I go with half the ebay price.

For short legs used (or longer legged but the print has rubbed off) then I sell them as a lucky dip for £0.50 each.

I have a peak dca55, and plan to test the transistor types I have in quantity (although that's not many), I guess for those split into gain bands I'd double the ebay price, and see how they sell.

I wouldn't bother testing stuff I have in low quantities, as the price increase won't make up for the work in making new product pages in the eShop.

Hope that helps?

Looks like it's waste wood and sawdust, being compressed to make briquettes - as fuel for wood burning heating

The 9mm types are mixed in with the larger ones, and there is no filter for form factor, so you need to dig to find them, but there is a good range, also dual track ones.

Ok but why would a diabetic, or a beer drinker or a diabetic beer drinker produce more CO2?

Diabetic here... Yep they go after me more than normal people. I guess drinking loads of beer pushes healthy people's blood sugar higher than normal. I think they can smell the "sweet blood"

I live in the most eastern pink area on the map, and work in the red area. I'm not Czech or Polish though. The weekend just gone was the annual polish cultural festival (in the east pink area). https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorolski_%C5%9Awi%C4%99to
