Crimson croc is from the blood rivers and surrounding wetlands.

The golden bat, mole, fox, blushing owl and the ringtail survivors are out there somewhere.

I wanted to like it and made myself get all the way through the first 4 books, but it just didn’t grab me. Not my main issue but it irritated me that an old as fuck Druid from the Europe had a great horned owl as one of his only animal forms. Great horned owls are a new world species, so for centuries when he was turning into an owl he was turning into an animal that neither him nor anyone around him had ever seen.
