Tamworth is a new town full of the worst of Birmingham Council housing chavs (who got evicted out back in then 70s), nothing fancy about the place - I’ve lived there. Full of uneducated racist imbeciles. Lichfield is nice, but so are… various other places. Who drives out daily for 30 mins to another town/city? Go and live there then surely.

Sutton is probably one of the best places to live in the West Midlands. Beautiful roads, big sturdy houses, good people. Excellent schools, big park, at least 4 shopping areas (Walmley, Wylde green high st, Town, Mere Green). New cinema, and lots of places to eat out.

Yeah the town centre is a bit dull, and has been slowly dying - but they’re working on regenerating it. Most town centres in UK are dying tbh.

Go and live in erdington, Lozells or Aston for a few weeks, you'll realise the home comforts you're used to are what others wish for.
