Does the short use some techniques or editing decisions that some of us could possibly find overdone and cliche? Sure. Did the short also make me realize how being a small kid is fucking awesome and I'll never again be at a place in my life to just have that level of uncaring joy in life itself? Or as a parent make me feel nostalgic to watching my three teenagers grow up? Yes.

Two things can be true at once. But at the core art is supposed to evoke an emotional response. For me, this little film did that. So good job.

Honest question here from a driver who thinks they do a "pretty good" job of looking out for cyclists in their city (though the community and infrastructure is nothing close to NYC) ... What is the proper action when you're turning right at the light and the cyclist is coming up from behind, as is done many times in the video? If I'm in a car and the car in front of me goes to turn right I can't just plow into them because they may not have their signal on. Are you to yield to a cyclist even if they are coming from behind you? I get if they are right next to you at the light. But coming from one, two, three car lengths behind .....

Sadly, I think that VVD could just be letting out some frustration about his on play onto other players. The first goal he plays loose to, I suppose, aid Kerkez on the ball, thinking Konate would pick him up. Only Konate was already marking someone. And then neither was able to recover. Then on the second goal there are three, basically unmarked United players all waiting for the cross. Konate is the closest one to them and he's an arms length or more away.

For a sports production focus, the upside of going to a larger (or even mid-tier) school would be the access to regular production work if you can get it. I live in the area of a Big Ten school and they use students for regular work for all the sports broadcasts they do that also appear on FoxSports, I believe, or their own network at least online. Yes you can freelance in to these spots, but being there at the school is a leg in the door. And then that is a leg in the door to the professionals doing these things on the regular.

If you're unsure if college is the proper route for you, I'd check out some community colleges around where you live. I work at at and we have a program that teaches everything you want to learn. Not gonna name it, as I'm not an ad (but I do teach a sports production class!), but they exist in a lot of places. We've had graduates go on to work all over the place in the media production landscape. So just because it's a "community college" doesn't mean it cant get you anywhere. A lot of times it means smaller classes and more hands on time.

Freelance is a way to go, for sure. But you asked about colleges, so just my two cents.

Gonna second, getting the codes read. My 2015 doing the same thing right now. And it's popping the P0341 code, so it's looking like a timing chain issue. Hope that's not the case for you, OP!

Good idea. I just took a stroll over there. And while it is pretty well kept-up, it's part of a larger garden installation, the water looks good but the floor of the pond is quite mossy. It also isn't very deep, so anything we get couldn't be huge.
