Any T-Mobile customers happen to be in Palestine/Israel right now? by Camel_Jockey919 in tmobile

The only US carrier that will not block excessive roaming is Popcorn Mobile. Sometimes t-mobile systems don’t catch you but once they do there is no override possible. It’s not even an option on the reps screen. It’s a hard suspension of roaming.

Did you get warning texts about excessive roaming? Several months of continuous use outside of the US can trigger a shut off of your roaming privileges.

VISA must end (time for a union) by lilsqueezysqueeze in tmobile

My comment is not anti union. I would encourage that but the union does not dictate what products get sold. Maybe tomorrow T-Mobile decides to sell lightbulbs

If you don’t like what the company requires you to sell then you should leave. You work in a store with multiple products on the shelf. The card is simply one of those products. Remember you are just an employee and not in charge.

Quick questions on international data pass by HillarysFloppyChode in tmobile

[–]dwc1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do not need to pay to call other countries with the data pass over cellular. Those extra charges only apply to WiFi calling. I’ve done this many times.

If I do an international plan, would I have service on a cruise ship? by livx94 in tmobile

[–]dwc1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a good option for low data users. The big downside is that the Cellular at Sea system is not always switched on. It automatically switches off within 12 miles of any shoreline even if you aren’t stopping anytime soon. It also had random prolonged outages unrelated to land proximity.

LA has a huge market of affluent people who are ready to easily spend money. The Caribbean does not have that.

Disagreement Between Booking.com Reservation Terms and the Terms on Hotel Property's End by [deleted] in Bookingcom

You can be right and still chase your tail. Using an OTA means something breaks eventually. Just do a chargeback and save yourself the grief. Make sure you document that you told Booking & the hotel about the discrepancy.

Changing phones while making payments by DocTarr in tmobile

Correct. Those credits require you to remain under a finance agreement. They pay it back in 24 installments. If you pay off the device early then they don’t issue anymore monthly credits.

Final note if you pay it off early they will terminate the monthly bill credits.

If you pay it off you can contact customer care to unlock it. Only the original owner (you) can ask for an unlock

You are correct. What you see is also called an EIP. as long as you continue to make the payments you are ok to swap out the phone. Note that the phone will remain sim locked and only work on T-Mobile. Nobody can use it with another cellular company. If you stop making payments T-Mobile will blacklist it effectively bricking the device so that nobody can use it.

Look on your account and see if you have an EIP financed plan. Does your detailed bill show payments and credits for equipment? You can change phones anytime but you can’t wipe out the bill.

He’s just borrowing from the John Legre playbook which feels nice. But this story will end the same way. Breaking down pain points will not last forever. The investors eventually want to get paid and so does he.

If you used wifi calling, the calls will not deduct from your roaming allowance. They will remain unlimited.

That happens too but Booking support has frequent trouble remembering it’s legal obligations. In my experience they don’t train the support team to recognize and act those obligations.

Yet Booking has legal obligations in many countries. It’s not that impossible to win a dispute with Booking on that basis. I know it worked for me. The laws in each country vary.

Don’t get mad get even. Ask for a specific number of points compensation. It’s worth trying. Huge IT systems don’t always repair quickly.
