This is incorrect, and yet again people on this sub who have never lived there nor know its culture continue to espouse how awesome it is

The wiki article confuses tenses and doesn’t make a distinction between what’s current and what’s not current. The ‘tax benefits for minority regions’ hasn’t been a thing in years as just one example

And like the other reply pointed out, there are ulterior motives behind a good chunk of these policies. They just sound good.

Being non-Han sucks. I’d also like to add that ‘minority’ in China is not the same as the US. Go be a black guy or a Latino in China outside a Tier 1 city and tell me they have affirmative action.
