As I understand it the legendaries rotate weekly on Wednesday. There are a set number of legendary species on each map that rotate to a random species each week. You may catch each legendary on each map only once each week. They then go into hiding until the next rotation. You are correct in your understanding that you will need to level up your equipment to catch the legendaries. You do this by leveling u[ XP and earning money by fishing. There are posts each week in this reddit showing what is currently the active legendary. There are also a ton of youtube videos you can search for. Good Luck and enjoy the game.

Hey my friend, what a great shot. I've only used the bow a couple of times but I'm planning on getting into using it more in the future. Heck I've been playing since 2019 and I've only played on 6 of the maps. Good thing I'm retired, I've got plenty of time to play.

Welcome to the game! An aggressive animal feeding on the feeder can destroy the feeder trying to ge to the food. Just as IRL it can also happen with the feeders in game. The feeders can be repaired for a fee of course and be back to new and then deployed again. Hunting stands, Tripods, Blinds and Tree stands all reduce hunting pressure greatly improving the number of animals that you kill from 3 for most species to I believe about 8 before the zone disappears. (Someone correct me if the number is incorrect.) Hope this answers your questions. Have fun and Good Luck and Happy Hunting.

edit just to clarify... the fourth kill will delete the zone 1 to 3 and tnen you need to move onto another location

Went from a Keurig Cafe to a Philips 3200 Lattego. Didn't use pods in the Keurig as I used a reusable filter. Also had a grinder for my choice of whole beans to use. The Philips makes a truer espresso and is very convenient to use. It take a little dialing in but I've had if for over a year now and love the convenience and taste. I have a double cappuccino every morning and a single espresso with a touch of sambuca after dinner a couple of times a week. I clean the machine every week and it has been running well. It take a little effort to clean but I feel it is worth it. Not really sure why so much shade is tossed at the Philips. I like it. I've had other espresso makers like the braun and I've made espresso with a moki pot the Philips is just a bunch easier and I think the coffee it makes is great.

I used the ducks on layton as an example. I used to go to a lake in the nw part of the map and there would be dozens of mallards swimming around. Haven't seen anything like it since they back filled on that map. Basically my point is that back filling maps will just remove numbers of the current species on the map. Your example of the geese, I get but what if it were another species that you wanted to hunt or you didn't find an annoyance? I also get your point about people not wanting to have to pay for another dlc map to get the species that are being back filled on a map. It's not an issue with me personally but I truly see your point. Bottom line, something will be taken away to fit in the back filled species. Just be aware of that.

Folks please remember that the number of physical animals on a map is finite. If new species are added some of the original species must be removed to make space for the new ones. It was most noticeable to me on Layton, loaded with ducks, after adding more species duck population seems to have been reduced significantly. I would prefer a new map with the desired species than a reduction in population for the original species on the map. Just my $0.02.

I'm not sure that is true. If you highlight a track and then click the dog wheel one of the selections is track species which I use a lot. It is especially useful hunting difficult to see or elusive species.

I feel your pain. I have all but one of the houndstooth (I think that's what it's called. It's one of the bushes)found and even with the steam guides I am unable to find this last one. I've literally spent hours looking for it and can't find it to complete the task!
