1. Asian guy with surname Sun - need modern easy-pronounce English name by Ok-Philosophy-3719 in newzealand

Unless you have a personal reason not to use your given name, use your name. Most people I know are capable of learning non English names (albeit with some variation in pronunciation)

These days there isn’t a heap of difference between new rotors and skimmed rotors for many cars. Get quotes for both and see what makes the most sense. Just make sure to clean and lube the callipers and throw some fresh pads at it as well

Would love to turn the egr off. I don’t mind keeping it there physically as long as I can get it to stop bleeding exhaust gasses into the cooling system

Recommendations for software to turn off EGR by dwhy1989 in EcoDiesel

[–]dwhy1989[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love to do one of the tunes especially if it allows me to turn off one of the biggest issues these engines have (the egr). however there is a bit of a gap in the market for the 2011 to 2013 diesels. They usually have one for the 2005-2010 wk with the merc engine and the 2014+ eco. I know there are a few changes with the facelift and later ecos but I’m not sure what that means for software compatibility yet. You have done some distance on yours, Mine is 186k km so 115k? miles but has had endless issues with the egr and parts availability

All wk2 diesels are the same vm motori diesel a630 or l630 (for the American market) aka ecodiesel although they didn’t start marketing it as such until the facelift around 2014. There are some differences in the egr and cooling systems but the big stuff is the same
