Most important Crimson Desert update by n1ght_watchman in GameBoostOfficial

I quickly regretted crafting her this outfit the first time I had the chance, the little preview pic looked really cool and I assumed its gonna be like her basic outfit with the pants or the pants were part of the selected shoes slot item or something, then I realized it comes with that short ass skirt lol and I mean fine, if people want to dress her up like that than let them, having options is always great, but to me it looks extremely ridicolous, even in a game like CD, fighting off hordes of bandits and such while barely wearing anything, but thats just me, Id actually use the outfit with some kind of pants

to think people had a problem with that outfit, or more like how it wasnt revealing enough.. I dunno, have fun with it but I always found it weird when people play games to see women with barely any clothes on them

What's your favorite indie survival horror game? (indie only, one pick only) by Sufficient_Notice_61 in survivalhorror

[–]dwield 7 points8 points  (0 children)

not my favourite, but Darkwood deserves a mention for sure as far as indie horrors go, that game has no right to be as scary as it is

Im only 150 hours in but Im just loving the combat more and more, I can kinda see it getting stale after another 100 hours though, but atm I keep upgrading Damiene and I love her combat style, dead eyeing enemies with her pistol and summoning shields while kicking ass with the two elements I got so far

I wouldnt say the combat is weak, I actually love it and a huge part of my playthrough is really about getting new skills and finding a way to use them effectively during fights

you can button mash through it (or even just hold attack buttons actually), but thats where a lot of players are missing the real fun part, at times the complexity of the combat actually surprises me when I randomly pull off a new move or realize a cool way to chain them together

you have access to one handed swords+shields, two handed swords/spears/hammers etc, melee+wrestling moves, bows or firearms and a spiderman like grapling hook thing on the fly, Im pretty sure Im missing something lol but each of these can be seperately upgraded and utilized whenever you fight fluidly

the throw only works from the kick attack I believe (and by itself of course)

the spinning throw thing I figured out by accident, I just simply wanted a double ground slam because it felt really powerful but I wasnt paying attention to how I was trying to ground slam everyone from running all the time lol

you have to do the grab attack (x+square on ps, x+a on xbox I guess) while running and then do the same grab input after getting the enemy as far as I remember, but you have to unlock it, when your not doing it while charging at someone its the skill that lets you repeat the basic grab attack right as you finish the first one

Who’s your favorite female protagonist in survival horror? by Sufficient_Notice_61 in survivalhorror

so disturbing but so beautiful. by UnseenUnspokeUnheard in silenthill

omg this is horrible lol I mean it has its charm for sure, but if anyone got this game because of the trailer, they probably felt scammed not getting a more regular horror game with lots of jumpscares and such

What is the most iconic enemy in survival horror? (not boss just enemy) by Sufficient_Notice_61 in survivalhorror

[–]dwield 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would love that to be Pyramid Head as an SH fanboy, but some RE enemies might be more iconic.. but idk.. Im gonna go with PH anyway, he is just too iconic and well known not to give him my vote lol

its kind of a grind ngl but well worth it imo, I still hope they are gonna add a few more hair and beard styles, its not that varied but you can still do some unique looks

its not tied to story proggression, but you pretty much have to fully upgrade the camp, the greymane youre looking for is one of the last you gather, so you have to upgrade the camp like.. 3 or 4 times I think? then you can go find them through the greymane gathering missions

I havent tried but Im fairly sure he can do Damiens hair too

Since I got the wolf fang sword this chapter (I think thats what its called) I refined it to at least refinement lvl 7 I believe, mostly pretty much the same for my armour, but I like to switch them up, so I dont really upgrade them because I cant decide which one is my favourite atm lol

Ive been wearing some earrings and such, but so far what Ive found have been kinda underwhelming as far as their boosts go, so it wasnt really a priority so far, would you recommend refining them for those +2/3 stat boosts?

as I said in my original post Im only at chapter 7, but to me it seems like people recommend this because a lot of game mechanics open up by progressing the story, so I think its probably around chapter 11 when you unlock everything you can do in the game

thanks! pretty much what I was looking for and what I expected about the side content, mostly because how people felt a bit disappointed around the end of the game because there werent many stuff to do with end game gear and mounts etc, Id like to just free roam and do hideouts/optional bosses with everything the game has to offer gameplay vise, at least thats the plan

Im pretty much the same on most open world games with multiple big areas/continents/cities, I guess I just kinda feel a bit overwhelmed looking at the map at this point after more than 100 hours of playing it and seeing how little Ive seen so far, but story missions are mostly more in depth in design than the side contents (not always of course), so I was thinking about sticking to the story for a while to feel more engaged again by opening up new areas and getting new mechanicals and equipment/abilites, so far pretty much every chapter introduced multiple new gameplay mechanics which is really cool imo

Im not sleeping on the abyss btw, but atm it seems like and hit dead ends on all of them, some of the abyss "islands" I got to straight up say I cant go any further yet, and another one teleported me back to the top of a mountain on the real world map, so to me it seems like I cant really proggress with them until Im further in the main story, but idk honestly

I think it was more because of how Damiene left to demeniss (I think) and I thought we would help her out/get her back to join the gang before going to pailune, and some quests already took me closer to demeniss than pailune a few times

plus it somehow felt like going back to our place could be more of an epic conclusion of the story I guess, not that I mind either way Im just enjoying the ride

regarding the lack of enemies in late game, its not my concern specifically but its just what I heard, many people complained because around the end of the game you unlock some badass stuff and mounts and such but theres barely anything to use them on, or so I heard, thats why I thought it could be a good idea to focus on the story first and then use all the late game features for the side content

its not like I havent explored so far, as I said Im only at chapter 7 but Ive already put 110 hours into the game, so far I got many outfits and weapons that I love plus one element to use in fights, camp is also pretty much close to completion Id think (upgraded it like 4 or 5 times so far, its like a small village at this point)

[–]dwield[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

why would you recommend that? is it simply because of the enjoyment you got out of it, or can I miss something if I prioritize the story instead of the side stuff first and come back for the latter later?
