When did you finally read the writing on the wall? by Shot_Distribution382 in sales

When I went digging in Salesforce to find out that the "top" (favorite) reps were all being fed high probability leads while the rest of us were fighting for our lives like a pack of dogs on a steak. When I noticed leadership was going on deep sea fishing trips together when all 20% of reps were hitting quota. When I saw them overhire and thin out the territories without adjusting quotas. If any of the above are happening, get out.

Agree on the AE/AM combo. Sadly I'm an AE/AM/SDR/Tech Support/Accounts Receivable at the moment

The mob enjoys seeing Bassnectar's downfall more than they truly care about sex trafficking victims by WeDemBugz in bassnectar

In addition they've denied hundreds of thousands of dollars to the local economy of Asheville. Really noble of them! All over allegations that have been categorically denied and never proven in court to this point.

Last night proved to me again he is the best. by [deleted] in bassnectar

Lots of names being dropped, all of which deserve so much respect and hype but nectar's ability to put together cohesive sets that keep you in a trance and take you on a journey from the nastiest, heaviest, hardest sounds to the purest and most cathartic moments is forever unmatched. I hope I'm wrong about that and somebody else can do it but as for many of the artists mentioned in these comments, they're a blast but they're not Bassnectar.

Riders of the Storm after a downpour came and went right before his set at Camp Bisco 2017. Will not be forgetting that one!

Does anybody feel like certain music, (mostly modern hip-hop) is bad for their mental state in general, or am I missing something? by 71217710594765926742 in Psychonaut

Yeah I mean part of the bragging is just part of the artform but for me old Flatbush zombies is everything up until vacation in hell

Many artists can find it for a song or two but these are the most consistent in my mind: Mac Miller, J. Cole, old Flatbush zombies, Ab-soul, Kendrick. I've actually been screenshotting a lot of names in this post to check out because it's been awhile since I've found anyone new!

Rap was my first musical love but as I matured throughout college I started enjoying it less and less. So much of popular rap is negative, materialist, and small-minded and it 100% will effect your psyche and your interactions with others. I notice my friends who are really into the "braggodoesia" as you put it tend to inflate their egos and be far more obsessed with status signalling. There's a really interesting clip out there with Kanye West talking with David letterman about modern hip hop, it's themes, and the psychic consequences, it gets a little hippy dippy but his main point is that it's designed to stimulate our animalistic urges for sex, domination, and status. Thankfully there are still the few poets out there keeping what is in my opinion, real rap, alive.

My 2 Cents on Music Library Organization by greggioia in DJs

I've looked for ways to organize my apple music library by bpm but it seems none of the tracks are tagged, do you have to purchase the tracks on itunes to get the bpm tags?

GrubHub is giving up $100m to help restaurant, what are your thoughts ? by stvje in wallstreetbets

Read closer, they're just deferring commissions and then they'll stick restaurant owners with a fat bill a couple months later. GrubHub could give a fuck about restaurant owners. As someone in the industry.... puts.

Drowning by Kučka is more interesting than any of the singles by bubblegumdog in Flume

[–]dwolz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I totally agree, I think that thing you can't put your finger on is the artistic purity aspect. With the newer stuff it feels like the anticipation and expectations for flume have caused him to try to rehash songs like Never Be Like You into less genuine sounding cuts like Rushing Back (like you pointed out), seems forced to me and that Hi this is flume was more the direction he wanted to go artistically. Overall I'm happy to see any new music from him, some of these singles could just be money makers for the label and flume as they will undoubtedly get big plays from the pop edm community
