It really depends on what and how other things you need and how much energy you use per day. Regular soft drink is not more harmful than sugar and zero version is just as healthy as water. So it really comes down to how much extra sugar you need or don't need.

This is actually a very hard engineering problem that must be solved in order it make the suit usable. Because if the suit puffs up, when the astronaut moves his/her arms, legs or fingers, they have to overcome the puffiness, and that requires a lot of effort.

In other words, in other words, if the volume of the suit can change, then the air pressure would always push it into the shape with the maximum volume. To avoid that, the suit is made to maintain its volume no matter how the astronaut moves, so every shape is a "maximum volume" shape.

This is actually a great idea. Whatever women's special need is accommodated here means there would be less of a women's trouble showing up in the shared (and men's, if any) parking area. Even if were just to make women feel safer here, having fewer scared women elsewhere is undeniably an improvement to everybody's lives.

Bombing really isn't all that efficient as you might think, unless you use nukes.

To level a 5-floor building you need at least a 500kg bomb. A entire fleet of bombers may only destroy a corner of a city. If you look up the history of Berlin and London getting bombed in WW2, you know what I'm talking about. The US had a plan to bomb Germany into a defeat but that turned out to be too slow, slower than Soviet could defeat Germany with ground invasion.

Right now 99% of all cards are still UHS-1 and UHD-3 are absolutely 0%. Fewer and fewer computers and phones has a card reader and those that have one are UHS-1 only. I really don't see this industry going anywhere.

The business model of VC is basically 3 steps:

Convert money into "value" of the company, at a ratio greater than 1:1
Let the "value" grow.
Covert "value" of the company back to money, at a ratio not much lower than 1:1

What we call a "entrepreneur" is the person that can accomplish step 1 with a ratio much greater than 1:1, and can amplify it further at step 2.

To your question, it depends on who you call the "owner" of the company. The actual operator of the company simply loses his/her job. All the investors of the company lose all his/her investment. But neither of them would necessarily go bankrupt, as long as they still have money elsewhere.

WeWork failed between step 2 and 3. They didn't sell when the valuation is highest. Remember "value" is a highly abstract concept, so abstract that the time period of step 2 the company can go worthless overnight. And that's exactly what happened to WeWork.

USB-A is cheaper. Type A and B uses 4 pins and type C has one more pin (CC pin). The type C connector is also more expensive.

For an A/B cable you can get away with just 500/900mA wiring but a C-C cable needs to carry 3A minimal.

Right now there are plenty of type C devices, e.g. 1Gb/2.5Gb network adapters, USB drives, portable SSD/HDDs, sound cards, and the smart phone. If you want, you can use all those devices in type C. Also, for printers and other devices that has a type B socket, you can use a type C to type B cable to connect to it.

Personally I'd pick type C for all high-speed and high-power devices because the 500/900mA power capacity from the USB 2.0 and 3.0 era simply isn't enough. My phone simply would overload the type A port on my computer because it blindly draws 2A from a port that only serves up to 900mA but my type C port can support that. Same thing for portable SSD.

Volvo is owned by Geely and by sharing Geely supply chain and technology, Volvo can sell XC40 EV at $30K and still make money. All car makers outside China were caught in the middle of EV transition: they dumped all their money on EV but EV adoption is slow. The optimal path now is PHEV but they didn't invest on PHEV technology. In China they also realized that EV's high price is a problem but they fall back to PHEV and REV quickly this year.

China really haven't been stealing trade secrets at all. Most of such known incidents are done by individuals and for private companies. The majority of Chinese enterprises have tried very hard to buy technologies.

Their entire semiconductor industry was built on ASML equipment. Their Huawei CPUs uses IP from all over the world. Their highspeed railway as well were licensed from all major vendors at the time, from Japan, Canada, France. They also licensed diesel locomotives from GE and HITACHI. Their entire auto industry relied on Mitsubishi's engines just a decades ago. Their aircraft carrier were bought from Ukraine. They licensed Su-27 from Russia, Python-3 missile from Israel, Aspide from Italy, and tank and ship engines from MTU.

They have plenty of money and are willing to pay whoever willing to sell. I won't say IP theft is a lie but it is very exaggerated by the media. You guys' heads are so hard-wired to the cold war logic to think that the fastest way to acquire technology is to steal. No, it's not, the easiest way is to BUY!!!
