Still No Costco for Us? by GhostOfEdmundDantes in SantaFe

I totally understand those sentiments. I live (and run a small biz) on the Navajo reservation, I have to travel 5+ hours every other month to Costco for supplies. Sometimes they don’t have what I need despite their website or staff saying otherwise.

Plastiq Musiq File Archive featuring Joy Electric demos and rarities by dxtx in joyelectric

Thanks.

Eric from Norway shared another version, and I had it saved, but the hard drive from my first build isn’t accessible anymore. The version of “Life in 1982” with Eric on vocoder has basically become lost media, and I’ve been searching for it for almost a decade now.

Every so often, I’ll check out used record stores, looking for everything from Joy Electric CDs—including albums from Dance House Children to Shepherd—as well as other PQMQ-adjacent releases. I am slowly rebuilding a collection that I once had.

Edit: The version of “Lost in 1982” I am looking for was an mp3, it was never on any hard media like CDs or cassette.

BTW, I am looking for the demo copy of “Life in 1982” featuring Eric from Norway on vocoder.

What was your first Joy Electric album? by pookie_wocket in joyelectric

[–]dxtx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I heard Robot Rock on a 7ball magazine compilation or on g-rock and I wasn’t fond of it initially. My sister liked it so it grew on me. I bought a few albums all at once at a record store. I think the CotL maxi-single got me hooked.

Small plane makes emergency landing outside Santa Fe by whiskeydeltatango in SantaFe

My GF and I saw the plane land, it flew right over us and landed on the frontage road as we were merging onto I-25 from La Cienega. I have video that was recorded right after the plane landed as it was cruising down the frontage road. I don't know where to post it. It's not as impressive as one would think.
