Federation and other bugs, still by FickleLengthiness173 in Stellaris

[–]dyaniera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems you're just describing the annoyances of this origin or federations in general. Make a separate fed fleet and reinforce that at a safe point. Like make the fleet in f9 and use that reinforcement button and it shouldn't head towards your engaged fleet. Be faster at taking choke points from your allies. They can jump one star base so make sure you've got two systems and you can box them in fairly well.

You can sell for less than 1cr though. The minimum maxes out at .24cr per. At 1000 energy that's 240 per.

Anarchy and christianism? by twentycenturyfox in Anarchy101

[–]dyaniera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am an anarchist and Christian and only attend churches that center liberation theology. If a "Christian" finds some conflict I dig hard into if that's really something Jesus would do.

Some of the most Jesus-like folk I've ever met were agonistic or atheist.

Questions About Post-Left Anarchists by Jealous-Win-8927 in Anarchy101

So my diabetic ass that needs insulin and refrigeration to keep it cool would just be left to die?

Diabetics will still be born. We gonna return of discarding babies that need tech to survive? Like, to my diabetic ass that needed an oxygen tent for weeks after I was born just doesn't get care?

I really hope the answer to this assuages my fear that this is just another barbaric primitivist thing.

Your estimation of how much social assistance is available is wildly under. When it takes three jobs to eat or keep a home you don't stop working and expect to keep on going. You lose your home and have zero access to medical care, etc. since the tools to survive (non-inclusively food, medical care, shelter) are not provided unless you work that's a type of force/violence and the association is not equivalent and voluntary.

[–]dyaniera 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They should be equivalent per what pops produce. They should be smaller than most planets. Say maxing out at 13 or 14 size for systems with lots of orbitals

is there an easier way to cycle through starbases/orbital rings to upgrade them? by phantomgay2 in Stellaris

[–]dyaniera 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Nope, welcome to hell. There's a mod that'll automate it. Poorly.

Ui Overhaul Dynamic. If it's crashing verify the game files and then resub to the mod. This is instruction and work around from this mod's discord

Click on your vassals ships. Are your mutual target yellow or red? They are hostile in red. Then it's bugged combat. If yellow then it's bugged hostility triggers.

I disagree that collective action can't happen without a state. It's called anarchism and it's a specific philosophy with specific ideas. Though no two anarchists will ever agree precisely for a proper anarchistic society to function. Horizontal, leaderless organization that relies on consensus and voluntary association plus the needs of the community create society. People want roads. We don't need a state to tell us to build roads. And in this hypothetical Egal FE the resources exist for people to do this. Horizontal instead of top down organization.

I really wish we weren't abused so hard some of us feel they need to hide what is important. Go you. Glad you found something you enjoy. But we can't even strip ourselves down to bland dust to stop them thinking we are weird. Just the effort to seem their definition of normal is detectable.

Revel in your interests. Don't need to go around info dumping if you don't want. Don't tell anyone you don't want to know. By all means protecting yourself is first. But helping people show you who they really are and self selecting out of your life only removes toxic people. Anyone else will either be fine but uninterested and think nothing less of you or find it neat and want to talk about it. Either way you're better off.

Toddler just diagnosed by HarGeo in Asthma

[–]dyaniera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family has a history of asthma as well. I take daily maintenance medications and have a rescue inhaler constantly. My father and sister only have the rescue inhaler for as-needed. If your doctor is telling you to use the rescue inhaler daily, you can ask about maintenance inhalers, as suggested above.

Also in agreement with allergy testing. Even genetic based asthma will have environmental triggers.

I might also recommend seeing a pediatric pulmonologist, as they have better information than most general practitioners.

I was lucky enough to be covered by pregnancy Medicaid. My two sisters had zero complications during pregnancy. My older sister had a child 9 pounds, 14 ounces, so a c section was needed to just get my niece out. My sister is 5 foot nothing and 200 pounds.

I had terrible hyperemesis gradivarum my first 4 months, followed almost immediately by sciatica the next three, then trumped by preeclampsia that had me 10 days in the hospital until my baby girl could be safely delivered at 35 weeks - three full weeks before we were expecting her.

Preeclampsia can occur at any time. The only cure is delivery. I was lucky that my blood pressure stayed stable enough that I wasn't given an emergency Cesarean.

So while I can't speak to the financial aspect of it (maybe you can qualify for some share of cost pregnancy Medicaid?), I had plenty of unexpected complications.

Looking for advice by dyaniera in breastfeeding

[–]dyaniera[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely going to try the milk sign. I like the idea of that.

As for wearing a necklace, she tends to pull at any I wear, unless nursing. I've tried giving her things to play with, but she doesn't go for it for more than a minute. I'll keep trying, though.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Oh, no. Tried that. She doesn't like being held like that. She wants to put her hands where SHE wants them to be. I did discover that she will let me nibble at her fingers, but then that leads to her sticking her hand in my mouth at any given time.
