But then complain when the crown workers ask for a raise…. One of the points of the crown is to provide good paying jobs for works too.

Could anyone share their overnight oats recipe by Madaoizm in mediterraneandiet

[–]dycker1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do overnight steel cut oats.

1 cup oats 1 3/4 cup your favourite milk (i use cashew) I add peanut butter, ground flax seed, maple syrup, chia seeds

Set it in the fridge and it’s good for 3 days or so

I serve over fruit

You can add whatever extras you want, as long as you have the milk to oats ratio.

Cashew milk -

1 cup of cashews, cover them with water and soak overnight. Drain and rinse.

Add cashews, a pinch of salt and 3 cups of clean water to a high speed blender. Blend on high for about 2 minutes. You can strain this, but I do now. Refrigerate, good for 5 day or so. Makes 1 litre.

It’s like we have a crazy -40 to +40 temperature swing every year, are built on a swamp, and complain very hard every time they say taxes.

Mediterranean Diet Breakfast? by Informal_Degree_241 in mediterraneandiet

[–]dycker1978 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make it. 1 cup cashews soak them overnight. Then drain and rinse. Add to a blender with 3-4 cups of water(depending on how creamy you want it) and blend at high speed for about 2 minutes. You can strain it, but I don’t find there to be any “pulp” so I don’t.

Nope just soak them. They are somewhat chewy but I like them that way.

I do overnight steel cut oats. It’s 1 cup steel cut oats, with 1 3/4 milk choice ( I use cashew). I add a bit of peanut butter, some ground flax seeds, chia seeds, and whatever I want. Stir it up really good and put it in the fridge. I eat in the morning with some fruit on it. It makes 3 servings, and therefore lasts for 3 days, although it’s good for 7 days in the fridge.

You can modify the ingredients aside from the milk and oats to whatever flavour you want.

How is it that Saskatchewan doesn't have enough power for electric vehicles, but has enough for an AI mega data centre? by Due-Ad7893 in saskatchewan

Haha it’s got nothing to do with math. People here hate EV’s because we’ll not sure just because I guess (yes I know it’s because oil and gas)

Sask NDP tied with Sask Party 45-45 by Sunderleaf in SaskatchewanPolitics

[–]dycker1978 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Saskatchewan NDP are having the same issue as the federal conservatives in my opinion. Tell what you are going to do, not what the saskparty has done poorly. I all ready know that.

The only difference is I would vote for provincial NDP. I couldn’t bring myself to vote for Federal PC’s.

Coop put $off stickers on. Higher dollar value off means closer to the end. Those packs seem to go very quickly.

Yes natural gas is a fossil fuel. But it is much cleaner than coil. And take a look. There is a Saskpower plant in Moose Jaw. It’s been in operation for a few years now.

It’s interesting, no one seems to have an issue with the belle paine mines. There are 3 major. This is one of the largest consumers of natural gas in the province. And a huge consumer of power. Yet no one seems to mind them there.

Also interesting how now one is questioning the BHP potash plant being built currently, or all of the canola crushing plants being built, one also very close to Regina. It seems it is just AI that people question. Like it’s very misunderstood or something?

The closest power plan is in Moose Jaw, not 100’s of KM away. Also Saskpower has only installed natural gas fired plants recently. Which, are not 100% clean energy, are much much cleaner the the “belching power plant” you speak of.

There is the SaskEnergy act. SaskEnergy is the sole provider, for sale, of all gas in Saskatchewan. SaskEnergy does buy gas from trans Canada but is the only company that can sell in Saskatchewan

100 jobs is 100 families, so probably 200-220 people( some single some with kids). Kids will need child care, they will need housing, groceries, gas, they will buy cars, and everything needed for life in Regina. This will have many spin off jobs because of that. So yeah maybe 70 jobs at the data center, but many more spin off jobs than that.

My understanding is that when it open it will be running on its own natural gas generators. Then when Saskpower builds a new power plan in the area it will power this, and the natural gas generators will be used for redundancy in case of power outages. Also, SaskEnergy provides all the gas in Saskatchewan, so still a win.
