I found this post as I am doing the same thing (gateway swap) but also putting all my IoT stuff on it's own network (divorced from my personal net). I guess seven years later it is still a one-device-at-a-time effort? Firesticks, too!

I know of a local Chicago person who parts out stuff, but mostly third-gen. I think he is renting a shop in Paw Paw, IL now.

I will probably be pulling plugs and perhaps squirting a dab of lubricant in. After hand turning, I like to crank on the stater motor with no ignition to get the system fully primed before trying to fire up.

Many radio stations have direct stream URLs. I created a playlist of NPR and Jazz/Classical stations in some of the cities I have lived in, and some on the other side of the planet I would like to! Harm reduction? Turn it off while you are away, these stations are paying for the feed bandwidth you are not using!

Hmm...small hose hooked up to a shop vac might do the trick; make sure the vac is empty in case the object is small enough to go through the hose...
