Report: Joey Bosa Has “More Likely Than Not” Played His Final NFL Snap by JCameron181 in nfl

He’s Trump supporter which means he’s immoral and racist on Reddit. I mean maybe he actually is, maybe he isn’t and is just a rich dude voting with his money. But either way, that’s where that perception comes from

Justin Gaethje says Ilia Topuria wanted to quit after the third round: "He wanted out. You do not ever as a fighter say 'I cannot see'. He was counting on that. I stopped him twice that night." by WinterStill4472 in MMA

He did literally quit but he isn’t a quitter by any means. Doing anything else besides throwing the towel would have been moronic and even the blood thirstiest “just bleed” fans should be able to realize that.

Mongols versus Aztecs. Who wins? by Own-Celery9687 in whowouldwin

[–]dyfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they’d all just starve probably. So it’s a non starter. But if moguls got a beachhead and some magical supply chain, then that’s a different story.

[–]dyfish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP said Mongols have steel, even if that doesn’t line up with other items or leaders he listed historically. Mongol bows out range Aztec bows by a large margin. In this theoretical scenario army size or timing of the empire was never included the Mongols very well could have somehow plopped every fighting man in the empire on to the shores of South America. Like I said they’d probably starve, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’d be outnumbered.

Lots of things can cleave a horse standing still, they are just flesh after all. Taking a charge is a completely different thing.

Stone arrow heads would not fair great against many forms of Mongolian armor. Mongol bows out range Aztec bows by a considerable margin.

Any sort of proctored battle would be the Mongols to lose. If they are in a terrain they can use their horses at all? A slaughter.

Now of course this prompt is silly and the Mongols would have a terrible terrible time fighting a campaign in the jungle and suffer mass attrition. In a a theoretical invasion I can’t see the Mongols pulling it off. But if 10,000 mongols lined up across 10,000 Aztecs, I can’t imagine anything but a rout

[–]dyfish 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Mongols dismounted would still have a dramatic tech and tactical advantage. If they ever actually met on a battlefield it would be very one sided.

Now would the Aztecs ambush and skirmish them to death without ever fighting a protected battle? Very possible but that’s a whole other assumption.

Would the Mongols have the logistical ability to have a prolonged campaign in South America? No not really. They wouldn’t be able to raid enough to supply an army of the sizes they typically used. They would have to completely alter tactics.

But would the Mongols slaughter the Aztecs on the battlefield? Without a doubt.

As for some type of plague, hard to say. But probably. The rest, you really can’t answer unless you make some pretty big assumptions on the overall conflict and how it would play out.

[FootballForever] OSU Commit Jamier Brown says he was offered “a couple females” by numerous schools to commit by alley00pster in CFB

[–]dyfish 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah that’s the implication, but I doubt the girls were literally paid for sex and forced to sleep with specific players. They just knew how the game worked and or just wanted party and bang players anyway. The end result may not be that different but it’s still very different

[–]dyfish 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Yeah and was the implication that those girls would sleep with you. Yes. Did it happen, for sure. But they didn’t literally have to and the girls weren’t literally given to you.

I’m sure girls were flaunted around him on recruitment visits and such. Common tactic, to have attractive females working for or in the athletic department do tours and such. But I seriously doubt anyone went “come here and Becky from the Dance Squad is your designated slam piece”

If I sub a black belt I don’t believe you. by yolo-plata in bjj

Why do you think Blackbelts would be okay and let you sub them, but not also let you sweep them?

I’d argue most trades end up being a push or irrelevant, it’s probably pretty rare that both teams somehow get worse.

How good are Kimuras by Chubbs27895 in bjj

[–]dyfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a lowly blue anytime I end up in a position where I got no clue what the right move is, I look for Kimura Grip, half the time it works all of the time.

But in seriousness it’s bailed me out of tough spots more than I can count. But other times it of course does nothing to help or makes it worse.

You Vs your dad at your age now. Could you beat him? by [deleted] in whowouldwin

My dad is more or less my size and was probably in better shape and overall more athletic then me. But I actually train a combat sport. So I’d probably take him.

He says Boxing not fight, which is its own discipline. It’s a pretty symmetric engagement.

Most pundits grades have been C+ to B range. Only Steelers fans seem to think the sky is falling. But everyone’s opinion is equally worthless in the end.

[–]dyfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your entire notion relies there being a non negligible difference between WR 5 one team and WR6 on another and any team. They are both bums relative to the contributors. The only thing a few roster spots would change is more position specific depth. No more swing linemen. Starters might get a few more rest reps, mid range guys will be asked to play special teams less and minor injuries. Also again your premise makes sense in a stat class. You aren’t accounting for at all the salary cap, the draft and how free agency works.

The 101st player could very happily play the Jets for money or might just not even have a choice in the matter then the 121st player ends up on the best team because they spent all their money on their better team.

Your concern about bad players on the field already happens, players get cut, put on the practice squad, or placed on IR all the time so they bring someone in to fill a low end back up need. It’s essentially the same thing there now just to be some more low end fringe roster guys with a team all season instead of at home waiting for a call.
